History

During their 47 years of play, the Suns have made it to the playoffs 29 times, made nine trips to the Western Conference Finals, and advanced to the NBA finals twice. The franchise owns the NBA’s fourth-best all time winning percentage 55 percent, making them the team with the highest win-loss percentage to have never won an NBA championship. Noteworthy Suns include point guard Steve Nash, who led the team from 2004-2012 and considered one of the best point guards ever, great forward Amar’e Stoudemier, and Charles Barkley, who led the team to two championships from 1992-1996.
Rivalries
Be sure to catch the Suns play the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers, who have a history of facing each other in the playoffs. The Spurs versus Suns rivalry began in 1992 when they met in the NBA playoffs. The Suns initially came out on top, but not long after the Spurs made an epic comeback. The power has shifted through the seasons since then, proving both teams to be top competitors. Similarly, the L.A. Lakers have had their shinning moments against the Suns, but the Suns have always made a habit of coming back stronger.
