Class clown turns into a comedy king
Growing up Minneapolis, Nick Swardson got involved in entertainment when he was a teenager. School didn't suit him, as he was often getting into trouble, so after high school he threw himself totally into stand-up. He started doing open mic nights and working the local Minneapolis circuit before moving to New York City and eventually Los Angeles. He began getting work in TV and movies, eventually snagging a prime role in Reno 911! He started collaborating with Adam Sandler, Grandma's Boy being their debut production. Ever since his first appearance on Comedy Central in 2001, he has worked closely with the network, including creating the series Typical Rick, which debuted in 2016.
