History
The team was originally established as the Seattle SuperSonics during the 1967-1968 season and were moved in 2008 after a lawsuit. However, the SuperSonics were a successful team, having made the NBA playoffs 22 times, won six division titles, and won the 1979 NBA Championship. The SuperSonic featured NBA superstars like Hall of Famer Lenny Wilkens and Bill Russell. After the team’s move and rebranding, the Oklahoma City Thunder had a hard time rebuilding themselves, but quickly rebounded for success. During the 2009-2010 season, the Thunder qualified for their first NBA playoffs, won their first division title in the 2010-2011 season, and scored their first Western Conference Championship in the 2011-2012 season, appearing in the NBA Finals for the fourth time in franchise history since 1996. Thunder games against their rival, the San Antonio Spurs get especially heated, as the two clubs have clashed in the playoffs multiple times. Be sure to catch star players like Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and Corey Brewer run the court! Get your cheap Oklahoma City Thunder tickets here before you miss out on all the live action!
Rivalries

They have always played intense matches, but Oklahoma City has beaten them in a significant amount of more games. Although it hasn’t been easy because the Warriors have an exceptional set of talents themselves such as Steph Curry. Another big rival for Oklahoma City includes the San Antonio Spurs. The power has often shifted between these two teams because they both are fierce competitors. They always seem to be neck and neck with their stats and show us on the court that they aren’t holding back. The Cleveland Cavaliers are also a big competitor for Oklahoma, as they come prepared to every game.
