From MySpace to the festival circuit
In 2005, singer Maria Brink and guitarist Chris Howorth first met in Los Angeles, planting the seeds for In This Moment. Starting out on MySpace, the band began to develop a strong cult following. Their debut album premiered in 2007 with singles "Prayers" and "Beautiful Tragedy." Their early sound featured both singing and screaming from Maria Brink, who swung more towards a smoother sound with their second album. In This Moment has always been willing to experiment with their style, still keeping the personal lyrics and their signature sound. Touring with bands like Korn, Papa Roach, and Disturbed has helped In This Moment build their fan base, but it's the band's own musical integrity that's made them a commercial success.
