About Elf - The Musical
Taking on a story first made famous by Hollywood comedy golden child Will Ferrel is no easy feat, but Elf: The Musical manages to take its source material and create a truly unique and entertaining production that pays homage to the original film while standing on its own as a hilarious, inspiring and cheery seasonal musical that's fun for the whole family. Taking inspiration from the huge success and massive following of the Elf film starring Ferrel and James Caan, Elf: The Musical adds a list of fantastic and rousing musical numbers that will leave you "spreading Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear. " Elf tells the tale of Buddy, a human child raised as one of Santa's elves who finds out as an adult that he's no elf at all and then travels to the Big Apple to seek out his real father. But Buddy's experience in the idyllic north pole village under Santa's careful guidance doesn't prepare him for the cynicism of the real world, and he's in for a real surprise when he discovers that his own father doesn't live by the spirit of Christmas.
