The Making of the Legendary Duo

The two men came together in 1990; prior to that they were both solo artists. Since getting together, the pair has produced 12 studio albums and 5 compilation albums. Ten of these albums reached platinum status or higher. Together, they have released 50 singles, 20 of these went to number one on the Hot Country Songs charts and 29 reached the Top 10. Two of their singles, “My Maria” and “Ain’t Nothing ‘Bout You” were the top country songs of the year—1996 and 2001. The duo was the Country Music Association Vocal Duo of the Year every year from 1992 through 2006—aside from 2000. They won the Grammy for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for “Hard Workin’ Man” in 1994 and “My Maria” in 1996. Brooks & Dunn announced their retirement in 2009 and performed what was said to be their final concert in September of 2010, in Nashville, Tennessee. Both men continued to record as solo artists. Dunn released his solo album, self-titled, in 2011, which produced a top ten hit called, “Bleed Red”. Brooks released his solo album, “New to This Town” in 2012. The two reunited in 2015 for a series of concerts in Las Vegas. They were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2019.

Brooks and Dunn 2022 Tour

After their 2020 tour was cancelled due to the circumstances at the time, Brooks and Dunn announced a new tour in 2022. The beloved duo were back on the stage in the spring and summer months, performing their music live. The performances started in May in Evansville and went to Tulsa, Jacksonville, Savannah, Nashville and more. The tour ended in Chicago in August, after a few successful months on the road.
