A History of the Aftershock Festival
The festival was first held in 2012 in Sacramento, CA. At that time, it was only a one-day concert. Because the festival is so popular, it was quickly expanded to two days for the years 2013-2018. Of course, the popularity of the festival only continued to grow. As a result, in 2019, it will be a three day festival for the first time. One of the reasons why this festival has gotten so popular is the big-name acts the hosts have gotten to come to Sacramento, CA. Some of the bands that have performed in the past include Theory of a Deadman, Hell or Highwater, Stone Temple Pilots, POD, A Day to Remember, Five Finger Death Punch, and Eagles from a Death Metal. The concert has multiple stages all of which host multiple acts during the course of the concert. Everyone is eagerly anticipating this year’s concert as well.

2021 Festival
The annual musical festival had to take a year off due to unforeseen circumstances that occurred in 2020. The 2020 festival with Metallica and My Chemical Romance planned to headline was postponed to October 7, 8, 9 and 10 for 2021. Metallica and My Chemical Romance agreed to the four-night music festival in 2021. The festival took place at Discovery Park in the festival’s home in Sacramento, CA.
