Tearing Up Heavy Metal
Five Finger Death Punch got its start in 2005 in Las Vegas, taking its name from a 1973 kung fu movie. Two years later the band released their debut album, which cracked the Billboard 200 chart. They toured with Korn and Disturbed and built up their fan base. When they released War Is the Answer in 2009, it shot to No. 7 on the charts and helped snag them the Best Breakthrough Band honor at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards. Over the years, singles like "Coming Down" and "Wrong Side of Heaven" have become heavy metal mainstays. Five Finger Death Punch is a hit at festivals and regularly performs at events like Mayhem Festival and Download Festival. Their rise to fame has not been without its problems, including a tense Fiver Finger Death Punch concert in the Netherlands where lead singer Ivan Moody announced he was leaving the band. However, the next day the group denied that Moody was quitting, though he did enter rehab for several months. When he completed rehab, the band got back together in the recording studio. The band released their seventh studio album, And Justice for None, in 2018.
2019 Tour
Five Finger Death Punch traveled throughout the U.S. beginning in November of 2019 at the The Joint at Hard Rock in Las Vegas. This tour had various stops along the way such as Ford Park Center in Beaumont, the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, the PPL Center in Allentown, and more before concluding at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
