3 Doors Down Tickets
About 3 Doors Down
American rock band 3 Doors Down formed in 1996 in the little town of Escatawpa, Mississippi, when drummer and vocalist Brad Arnold, guitarist Matt Roberts and bassist Todd Harrell came together to share their love of rock and roll. The trio soon added guitarist Chris Henderson and began to gain a small following in their local area. Together, they recorded a demo CD of their original songs at Lincoln Recording in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and when local radio station WCPR-FM picked up their song "Kryptonite," it remained the No. 1 requested song for 15 weeks straight. After making waves throughout the Gulf Coast, 3 Doors Down eventually made their way to New York City where they were picked up by Republic Records. The record label signed the band, and their debut album "The Better Life" was released in February 2000.
Kryponite -- the bands first hit single
The band saw international fame with their debut single "Kyrptonite," and 3 Doors Down tickets soon gained a name and guaranteed a true rock and roll concert. The hit single charted in the top three on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Other hits from their inaugural 6x platinum album include "Duck and Run" and "Loser". Their second album "Away From The Sun" went four times platinum, peaking at No. 8 on the Billboard 200. The biggest hit from that album became "When I'm Gone" and was even adopted by the military. "Here Without You," "It's Not My Time" and "Away From The Sun" from later albums remain some of the band's biggest hits of all time.
Awards and Accolades
The band's first accolades came in 2000 when they picked up three awards at the Billboard Music Awards including New Group of the Year, Rock Track of the Year and Modern Rock Track of the Year. In 2001 at the American Music Awards, the rising rock band was named Favorite Pop/Rock New Artist of the year. That same year, they were also awarded a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Group - New Artist for their hit "Here Without You." They've since been nominated for a number of other awards.
