A Christmas Tradition
The classic tale of The Nutcracker is brought to life through the Houston Ballet every year, adding more every year for fans to enjoy. While still following the classic tale’s story, Stanton Welch developed a version specific to the city of Houston, making everything even more exciting than before! The tale follows Clara, a young girl from England, as she works her way through the Kingdom of Sweets alongside her nutcracker who was gifted to her for Christmas. Throughout her journey she encounters several characters only found in the greatest of fairytales including princesses, fairies, and even fighting mice! At the end of what seems to be a very real experience, Clara is awoken to find that it was all just a dream…so she thinks.
