When i reached the hotel at early evening,manager told me that they had canceled my room and it was Expedia Responsibility to inform me.When i politely asked him the reason for which he cancelled my reservation,they could not give me a proper reason.
I Realized that i was on the hook as it was evening and finding a hotel would be very difficult in Zurich,so i asked ,if there was a more expensive room available,they readily came out with a room on extra payments.
The Email which i sent to Expedia about my experience was forwarded by expedia to the hotel manager the same evening,so when i went to reception to get something,the manager/owner told me that he was very unhappy with me and was thinking of throwing me out of the hotel,but later had changed his mind because i was a senior citizen
The small individually owned hotel management sometimes do these things ,and as they dont belong to a Hotel chain,can be very rude and do Arm twisting to increase their revenue,knowing it very well that you cant complain to their bosses as they themselves are the owners
