Nice Apartment, Great Location!
The apartment was great. It was large and clean, with a big balcony. The beds were comfortable, and the 3 bathrooms made life easy for the 4 of us! The location was excellent. It was about a 15 minute walk to get the lake and the Chinese garden, with easy transit links to get anywhere farther away. There was also a good grocery store nearby, about a 10 minute walk. One thing that would have made the apartment more comfortable would have been a bit more furniture. There was a sofa and a dining table with chairs, but a couple of other arm chairs in rooms that were basically empty would have made it feel homier. Also, there was a strange dearth of spoons. Neither the lack of arm chairs or of spoons would discourage me from staying there again. The one thing I would want to know before staying there again would be the construction schedule for the building next door. We were warned in advance that there would be construction, and I was told that it was usually during the day, between 9 and 5. That would have been fine, but two of the nights that we stayed in the apartment, the construction was happening in the middle of the night, beginning around midnight and going until 2 or 3 in the morning. It was loud! One of the nights they were dismantling a crane! We couldn't sleep! Once the construction is finished, I would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment. In the meantime, I'd want assurance that it wouldn't be happening in the night before I decided to stay here.

Not sure how I got so lucky to book this as my first time out of the US! The company communicated so well with expectations! The location was perfect for our trips to the lake, the opera house, botanical gardens, and such easy access to the trams! We loved the Korean restaurant right around the corner too. The views from the balcony were even better in person! Plenty of space for everyone! I’ve already told family members who want to try to book it for their next trip!
