I had a reservation at this hotel but had to cancel because my wife became very ill with food poisoning. I fully understood the reservation was non-refundable, but given the situation, I asked Hotels.com to contact the hotel on my behalf to request a partial refund. To my surprise, the hotel refused to offer any flexibility or even attempt to negotiate, despite the circumstances being beyond our control. Their lack of empathy and unwillingness to work with us was extremely disappointing. Next time I’m in Zermatt, I will definitely not be staying here. Very poor customer service.
