I selected this property for my daughter and I on a 3 night/4 day stay in Zadar. We hired a car and drove each day to another location (Plitvice Lakes, Krka National Park, Split) and Villa Irena was in an easy location for the travelling.
When we arrived the area was explained to us; 1km walk to the bay and 3km walk into Zadar old town. Though we did walk entirely around the coast line and this was a little further than 3km but well worth it!
The room itself was fine. Nothing fancy; it had 2 comfy single beds, a fridge for our water and a bathroom with shower over bath. It was clean enough, the only reason it doesn't get an excellent on cleanliness is because there was some dust on the bathroom radiator pipes. Nothing major. The room was only small but at the end of the day we only slept there. On the one occasion we thought we'd watch a bit of bedtime TV we didn't manage to figure out any English channels but that may have been us and we weren't particularly bothered.
Perfectly located on the ground floor of the building is a bakery also serving your morning coffee. Delicious pastries to stock up with before the day's road trip started.
All in all, if you're not fussy and are just using it as a base for each night, Villa Irena is perfectly suitable.
