Because Tenaya Lodge is a rural location guests should call the hotel if they need additional directions or information on how to get to the hotel. During winter months, chains may be necessary, even for four-wheel-drive vehicles.
Bears inhabit this area. Do not leave food or beverages (including water) in vehicles and heed all other warnings issued by the lodge.
Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

Terrible lighting in room
Lighting in the room is terrible!! And no counter in the bathroom to put your makeup on or set a curling iron down anywhere. In town for a wedding and couldn’t see to put makeup on. Had to do my hair sitting on the floor near a plug in for the curling iron. No magnification mirror. Would not be a good place for a bride or bridal party to get ready!!

Location 2 miles below so entrance was convenient to gettimg started into the park. The lodge and all the staff was very accommodating. Anthony at Jacpole bar, terrific. Now at Wukasachi. We truly miss Tenaya!

Tenaya is an amazing place! We stayed at the explorer cabins and we definitely loved the quiet space. It’s only 8 mins away from the south entrance to Yosemite, totally worth it!
