We stayed only 1 night. We found it be convenient and comfortable as we were coming back from a day in Yosemite. Cute lil town. Yhe breakfast was ok. Pretty basic (bagels, muffins, fruit, oatmeal and yogurt, coffee, juice and tea). Overall, a gd stay.
This place is fantastic! Families with kids will love it. The complimentary breakfast, not even mentioned in the Expedia Amenities, was a delightful surprise. Its central location provides easy access to all the shops and restaurants in Mariposa.
The staff at the monarch inn was very friendly this is one of the best places I’ve stayed in

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The rooms are good, and the breakfast is sufficient. Unfortunately, we got put in the first room next to the back door, which is very loud whenever anyone goes through. Woke up many time during the night with people coming in and out (a large group left at 3am, for example)
There was a fire across the hotel and we had to leave the hotel early. They reimbursed the days we could not stay right away.
Great staff and management.

This inn was a great stay! I had 4 people in my party, and we felt comfortable in our room. The staff was friendly, the facilities were clean, and the kids annoyed the pool. Definitely recommend this location for anyone using this location to get to Yosemite National Park.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished. The location was perfect, close to restaurants. I recommend this hotel
Bedding was stained with something yellow and some blood, stains on the walls, and garbage under the bed.
The beds were horrible and only slightly better than laying in the floor. There is no closet or anywhere to hang clothing. Breakfast was very meager and since we didn't get down there until 630am there was not much of what was there left. We have stayed at literally hundreds of hotels all across this country and this one was by far the most overpriced, dirty, and uncomfortable one we have ever stayed at. Would never stay here again and next time will just rent an Airbnb .
This hotel is more than busy enough the owners could invest into their own business with new beds and bedding. The app will not allow me to upload pictures of the bedding to this review or I would gladly share them.
Great cheap (most hotels in area are more expensive) option for going to Yosemite! The room was very clean and beds were pretty comfy. Shower had great water pressure and no issues getting hot water. Room size was also huge. Front desk receptionist, Sven, was super super helpful especially since we got in late. Parking lot in the back was big enough we never had issues finding a spot. Breakfast was very rudimentary but enough for bagels/cereal/yogurt/coffee.
Only cons would be rooms are a little outdated. The rooms are definitely not sound proof but with earplugs you couldn’t hear anything. You could hear people walking above/outside your room.
But definitely would come back and stay here for the cheap price! I will say it takes approx 1hr and 15mins to get to Yosemite park. Wasn’t horrible but still a decent drive.
