Really Dated - carpet’s worn right down to holes. I was in a basement room - no phone signal and very poor WiFi. I had to go outside to call. TV eventually worked. Room was really cold and no way to turn it up. Shower had very little pressure. Should’ve paid me to stay there! Outside area is ok to sit but if winter and in the basement rooms - good luck! I booked two rooms and won’t be back!

Nice hotel, use of carpark costs extra
Very nice hotel, friendly and very close to town center. Would stay there again. You do need to pay extra to use the carpark, the cost was not included in the room rate, it was an extra that needed to be paid on checkout. It was a pretty reasonable price given the location but just be aware and make sure to factor it in if you are on a tight budget.

Let us check in early. Ample parking. Friendly staff. Very clean. 5 mins into York wall. Spacious room. Fantastic breakfast apart from small thin sausage. I wanted something nice and juicy. Great service.

Our stay of 3 nights was wonderful- our bed was very comfortable, the hotel was very quiet, breakfast was very good with lots of choices. We also had dinner one night in their restaurant and it was very good. The staff all went out of their way to help us when needed. Very friendly hotel

Great property just a 10-minute walk from the city centre! The staff is very nice and helpful, which is a great plus! I was in York for work, and as a girl travelling alone I am always a bit scared when booking new places - although I did not get back after 11 pm any of the evenings, I felt very safe when walking alone at night. The property has a lovely garden outside, and there is a small gym and a jacuzzi (I haven't used any of these, but it's still a great offer!). Wi-Fi works very well. My only issue (which was not an issue for me) was that my room was located on the 3rd floor accessible only by stairs - as mentioned, it was not an issue for me, but if this could be an issue for you maybe it's worth it checking directly with the property, I am sure they will find a way to accommodate your requests!
