This was the first hotel I've stayed in for many years and not had at least a king sized bed. Perhaps my own fault for not reading the description. We found the majority of staff rude and a little patronising. My husband's speach isn't fantastic following a stroke, it appeared staff spoke with derogatory tones. The courtyard facilities, swimming pool and jacuzzi were ok if you liked to be surrounded by rats and the towel box was empty. Dinner was very average and in my opinion overprice. Breakfast was limited. Replace muffins with brown toast on the egg royale. Wouldn't recommend or return. The room was stuffy and I got bitten multiple times during the night.

The hotel is in a perfect location , the staff very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and serviced well each day. Somethings are a little tired , perhaps the bathrooms need an upgrade . It was nice to use the outside pool on a hot day. Breakfast was good. We did not eat in the hotel other than breakfast and we did not used the full spa facilities so can't comment on them. We would happily stay again .

Very nice overnight stay, hotel nice and clean just a couple of constructive criticisms We stayed in a poolside suite, but couldn’t get round the pool as there are not enough loungers , plenty of chairs Also what chairs and loungers the were were taken by people putting towels down and leaving them Plus a large family was very noisy in the pool especially the kids and for a spa break it spoilt the relaxation Food very good

Very good hotel in excellent location for Helmsley with great spa facilities. Slightly disappointed with quality of cleaning of room with no drinks or toiletry replenishment after the first nights stay. Good breakfast but food slow coming out of kitchen, not the waiting staffs fault though. Lovely lounges and excellent bar with helpful and welcoming staff.

Room was very dimly lit. We weren’t aware that. There may be a number of steps between areas. Some steps had no bannisters to help people with limited mobility. Having been shown to our room up a short spiral flight of steps which I found difficult, again as there wasn’t really a rail to assist , no alternative was available on the day. I have been unable to find anything on the website which mentioned that room access might be difficult Breakfast service could certainly be improved although we understand there might have been staffing issues. We were able to hear conversations between our bedroom and next door which prevented us from going to sleep We were quite disappointed in our stay

The perfect getaway
Perfect place, automatic upgrade with it being my husband’s birthday. The only little downside for us was the food. It was very fancy! Alacarte. We prefer more simple haha, but if you like that sort of food then it’s perfect. Staff all amazing!

Relaxing 2 day break
Our first visit to the Feversham, on recommendation from friends who had stayed 5 wks ago and wanted to come back again. Really enjoyed our stay. Our spa suite was fabulous, overlooking the pool with a balcony. We had dinner on the first night and the food and service was excellent. The cooked breakfast was excellent too but the cold buffet was a bit limited. Would have liked more fresh fruit selection. Quite a wait after ordering a second tea & coffee but it was a busy morning and the young boys who were serving needed a gentle reminder. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend it and would come back again if in the area
