It was perfect. The girls and the guy were super attentive. breakfast is sensational, perfect location. there are several restaurants around. It is very easy to go to the central station to visit other cities. loved the hotel, yerevan and armenia
Upstairs, made sound,I tell a man in the reception, I think his attitude is a little arrogant. He did nothing to help me,I ask for change another room,he said the hotel is fully booked,he lie, there are vacant room. The upstairs made sound, loudly and small, almost the whole night,he treat a woman thus,I think he is a coward.
Breakfast is good for the price.
Good location in the centre of Yerevan, parking only available in the street in front of hotel. Single room in upper floor without elevator enough spacious, although a bit noisy from the street. Breakfast in the morning decent and correct.
Quick check-in and check-out, most staff helpful and friendly, centrally located, close to shopping and restaurant, area and convenient for public transport
Friendly and helpful staff, adequate BF suficient to start a day. Clean and tidy room. Centrally situated, 10 minute walk to republic Square , close to shop and restaurant area
Hotel is located in a newer building with very clean rooms and great mattress (I was in room 401). Helpful folks at the front desk. Could have used to new shower curtain, and a lift (but hotel staff were happy to help me
I love that place and it has been 2 years I stay there. The staff is amazing, everyone speaks English. The breakfast is nice and the rooms are always clean. The only thing preventing this hotel to be a dream is their bathrooms, but nothing critical. The location is simply amazing, on a street with plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops and stores. Come back there as to my second home.
We didn’t even stay here. After arriving, we noticed our bedding had multiple hairs on it; it was not the nice, comfortable bedding pictured in the promotional pictures; and the duvets were old and stained in the cupboard (which we were supposed to pull out and cover ourselves). We told them we wanted to cancel our reservation. They would not. My husband called Expedia (who was great), and Expedia said it was the hotel’s choice whether we had to pay a cancellation fee. After Expedia spoke to the hotel, they wanted a fairly substantial fee paid. We paid it because we wanted out of there. Expedia was great. The hotel was not as advertised.
Although rather difficult to find at first (as a new hotel, City Hotel seems to be unheard of to taxi drivers in Yerevan), this hotel is a friendly, clean and modern hotel set within walking distance of Yerevan city centre.
Staff are always willing to help, and will organise private tours for guests of sites around Armenia, which are well worth the extra expense. Arranging airport transfers, and getting replacement batteries for the much needed air conditioning remote control was a breeze.
The hotel wifi is very good. Breakfast was fine. There's also a pleasant cheese and wine garden within the hotel.
The hotel is on a busy road so there is some traffic noise.
Great hotel which was not far from the main square, the room quality was good.very clean.reception staff were great as being a single traveller was a bit nervous.very helpful, with local information and taxis.there range of trips are good as well.will definitely stay there again if I visit the capital of Armenia.
it is a big pity the manager of this new hotel did not select their staffs properly. City Hotel is located in the edge of the city centre, and their is a uphill walk from the main street, Mesrop Mashtots. it is housed in an old building but the inside is thoroughly renovated. The kitchen and the breakfast room is on the first floor, but there are no lifts. So be prepared to walk a lot of stairs if you are staying there. The room OK, the bed is bit hard and the hot water supply is patchy. But I still would give this hotel a pass if not for the receptionist.
The person in question is a thin middle aged man, who is more interested in his cellphone than you. He is not interested in serving you, nor listen to you. When I checked in I told him I have bad knees and could not walk too much stairs, then he gave me a room on the top floor! only when I complained again and again he agreed to moved me down. He is more likely sit in the kitchen drinking tea than in the reception desk, again he is either playing video games or chating on social media. When I arrange to meet a local friend he was rude to him and even suggest we are doing inappropriate things!! I was so angry I phone the manager, who told me he had similar troubles with guests before.
Overall I would not recommend a stay here even its location and facilities are fair and Ok, they really need some better staffs.

Nice and affordable
Newly opened boutique hotel (previously a house) of 8 rooms very close to Mashdots street and Republic Square. Still has room for improvement. Got a master bedroom with jacuzzi in it. Rooms don't have safe nor phones yet. Breakfast was very primitive at the start then it got better but still can do much more. Friendly staff. Good wifi. Overall good and recommended considering the lower price per night.
