Not exactly as discribed
When both me and my partner looked this place up there was a photo that showed the beach within walking distance, and it also said there was a beach within a3 min walk. That's untrue unless you count here tiny piece of land called "whale park" as a beach {which google does} The access to the beach was there stair you have to drive too across the bridge, if u look out from the rental room u an see it from there. as a Disabled person i was looking forward to be within walking distance of the beach and was kind of bummed out from the untruthfulness of that photo. When we went back to the website mind you the photo seemed to be removed. Other than that you have a sliding doors, so if you wanna listen to the beach waves you will have to put a wooden dowel in the slid path to keep the door from being able to slide all the way {if you worry about intruders} and also the tv is TINY AF and you cant really see it from the bed either. If you wanna cook on the poach keep in mind there's no tables so you will have to bring a table and you bbq grill or cooker of some sort. also be carful of the railing one of them is very wobbly!! other than thoes issues our time was very peaceful, and relaxing, neighbors were quiet the town is quiet, i do not recommend going to shops/ restaurants they are hella overpriced. and the restaurant right next door is not only expensive but has a gratuity included{had no idea} and will prompt for a tip still. Ice-cream shop is great tho!

Great base camp!
I enjoyed my room which provided a view of the ocean and was within walking distance of downtown. It was well appointed and clean and price very reasonably for my stay. I would stay here.

Nice location and view needs some upkeep
The place is quaint and cute. We like the location and ocean view. The town is so close and easy to walk to all things. I blinds are torn and make the place feel a bit shabby. Also the love seat is very dirty and not comfy. The bed was clean and comfy and we used it to watch movies and the view. It would be nice to have a smart tv and a bigger tv at least 32 inch would be nice for watching from the bed. We had a fun time and would stay again.

Window shades nightmare
Privacy compromised by torn full length honeycomb shades public deck side. Maintenance said shades were on order and I could tape them closed. There were previous unsuccessful attempts with staples and safety pins. Freezer full of ice.

Unfortunate experience
The location is cute, though everything else was not great. There's an outlet on the wall that is coming out of the wall and doesn't work, plugs fall right out of the socket. The smoke detector had low battery and chirped every 30 seconds for 4 hours before I left the rental to go home. I was told no one would be able to come out until the next day, and I could not sleep with it chirping directly above the bed constantly. Communication with the rental company was difficult, and communicating with the local property manager was impossible. I am extremely dissatisfied. The maintenance person was kind and helpful, and it was not his fault he had checked the detector over and over already. The rental company tried to refund me only one night, despite staying there for NONE of the time I booked. I am now fighting them for a full refund, and have spent 7 hours on the phone doing so. If you stay here, I hope nothing goes wrong because it will likely be an issue for days. Good luck messaging the host thru VRBO, apparently they do not get those messages so you'll have to call and sit on hold, and hope the person who picks up is able to get a hold of the property manager-- I still haven't heard from them despite being promised a call in 24-48 hours. Abysmal.

All went well
I'm not good at summaring, but I'll try. The room was clean and the bed was so comfy. There were two issues I had. One with the room itself. The sliding glass dor took all my strength to open. I am not joking. The other issue I had was with the property. Dog friendly? Not really. No designated area to take rhe dogs potty. No lighted area, very dark. And no bags to clean up after them. I'm sure rhe neighbors dont appreciate strange people wandering around in the dark, trying ro get their dogs to do their thing. Little dogs are easier. My dogs are not little and dont potty on demand. Other than those two things, it was perfect.

Beautiful front porch view
Very good value for the price. There were a couple of problems that were quickly resolved. I didn't sit on the couch because it is so filthy and stained. Time to clean or purchase a new one. Thank you.

I have reviewed this 2 other times
An old motel redone but done fairly well. Rug stank but sprinkled baking powder over it. No breakfast. was there 4 nights. No staff to empty garbage or restock coffee. Nice sea view. good quaint seafood family owned café across street.

Great location and view!
Nice size, comfortable room, with good amenities. Unfortunately, not impressed by housekeeping. The room was not vacuumed, area carpet was/is quite dirty. Covered in white dog hair from prior visitors. This was quite surprising after having purchased damage insurance because we travel with our dog. Add to this that the housekeeper switched lock boxes and our code didn't work upon arrival. It took 4 calls to VACASA over the course of almost 2 hours for them to make contact with the manager. Once notified he arrived within 15 minutes and was very apologetic and gracious. His response, along with the town of Yachats, was wonderful.

Basic but nearly perfect!
This was a very comfortable place from which to do hiking and exploring in the area. The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean when we arrived and there was plenty of room for the large dog crate we brought for our pup. The location is fantastic -- practically next door to the Drift Inn (good breakfast, lunch and dinner) and easy walking distance from everything. There is a terrific beach just down the road (see photo) that our dog loved. The only thing that kept it from earning 5 stars was the very spotty and quirky internet connection that kept going out. We evenually gave up on that, since it wasn't critical -- just a minor annoyance.

Very nice with great view!
Nice and comfortable. The room is very clean and has everything you need. The shower and sink drained slow and there was duck tape on the shower head so bathrooms were needing some TLC, but otherwise everything was great!

An amazing little getaway!!
It was great!! The location, the town, everything about it. It really is a little Gem. Loved it. The room, was perfect, just enough. We will be back for sure!! There were amazing tide pools, easy enough for older and adventurous kids to climb. Starfish, hermit crabs, crabs. At the right time, low tide. It was amazing!! Access to sandy beach too, with just a little walk to the south part of the beach access. Little gift shops, restaurants, coffee shops. We ate big delicious breakfasts at the Blue Whale Family Restaurant and had an equally delicious breakfast at The Green salmon. Little fridge and microwave and coffee maker in the room were perfect for the weekend. Just enough for snacks. The room was clean and the location was perfect. We were so pleased with it! There was a little market as well. Everything is within 5 minutes walking, less even. We even took the short drive North to Waldport, 8 miles to visit. We ate pizza there and visited the little shops as well. Lots of little gift shops to return with a gift or with kids to spend money on. Newport is also about 20 miles north. We drove south a couple miles to the Devils Churn and the Spouting horn, I think it was called. More tide pools there as well!! Nice little walk. We can't wait to come back with our kids this time!!
