Only 5km from the house, the town of Ghajnsielem (Gozo), on the island of Gozo, is a must see. It houses the famous Ggantija Neolithic Temples among the world’s oldest monuments and delight in the local cuisine: Maltese gastronomy is a mix of Mediterranean, Sicilian, and North African cuisine, with specialties including rabbit and the mouth-watering pastry cakes called Pastizzi, filled with peas or cheese (Ricota).
