Open spaces
Perfect for us. Wide open first floor layout with a roomy kitchen. We cooked all our meals there or on the gas grille. Lots of space for our grandson to roam and play. And a closet full of toys for him! The views from the deck and living area are dramatic and relaxing. Large beds and bedrooms. Sumptous bath. If you have kids, check out the Woodstock Playground. Our host, Tupac, was very responsive to all our needs.

Great place!
The home is very spacious and well-appointed - you'll find everything you need, and Tupac is incredibly responsive and helpful should you have any questions. It was only my husband and I for this trip, but this house will suit small and large groups alike! We'll definitely consider this property again if we return to the Woodstock area!

A perfect romantic winter getaway
This was a wonderful home to stay at for a few days with my husband. It was my birthday weekend and I decided for the first time to have a quiet birthday away from the city. We were floored by the listing but the house is even more impressive in person. The house is spacious and extremely clean, and I loved all the art. With the hot tub, grill, and amenities, we felt luxurious but not at all removed from the natural beauty. The views of the mountains are incredible and animals were all around us. It even snowed during our stay, which added to the scenery. If we had any questions or needed extra instructions, Tupac was readily available and was happy to help. (Definitely read the whole welcome guest binder!) We're really grateful that Tupac and his family opened their home to us for this occasion and I felt safe, cozy, and at peace for the first time in a long time.

Birthday Getaway
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. Tupac was very communicative and responded quickly to questions. We visited in the winter so the seasonal pool was closed. The hot tub was great, bring sandals for the walk on gravel down to the tub.The house is well suited and would be cozier for bigger groups but we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet it offered.

Ladies Weekend Getaway
What a Gem! This house was perfect for our ladies getaway. The photos really don’t do justice to how big each of the rooms are. Kitchen is spacious with ample cookware. The kitchen, family room and dining area is all open concept. The 2 bedrooms and their respective bathrooms are huge! The 3rd bedroom is also quite large however it is in the master bedroom (likely originally meant to be the walk-in closet) but great for a family that wants their kids close by. Unfortunately We were out of season to be able to use indoor pool. But the hot tub and fire pit was wonderful. Tupac was super responsive to any questions we had. Although this is waterfront property you can’t see the river from the house but the property is surrounded by nature and just a short walk to the river. All in all we really loved this house.

Great location - quiet
The home is in a great location, in the small town of Woodstock. We were able to stop by the grocery store only a few miles away and get all we needed for our stay. The house is in a lovely location, private and quiet. Unfortunately, there was a large infestation of bees right outside the back of the home, so the backyard area was unusable during the day, which I was looking forward to, but we were able to enjoy the hot tub in the evening. Waterfront access is a bit of a hike. House is large, we especially enjoyed the kitchen. Tupac is very responsive. Thanks!

Perfect for a beautiful getaway (romantic or group) in the mountains next to the river
We loved this property. The location was quaint and felt very private. The home is warm, carpeted in the right places, spacious, and very comfortable. There are gas fireplaces in the living and bedroom which make evenings particularly beautiful as you stare out into the darkness. The bed was comfortable (we only used one bedroom), kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and wonderful to cook in. But if you don't want to cook there are a few good places in town (we enjoyed Woodstock Cafe) and Doordash delivers a few places to the house. The drive up to the house was really beautiful (you cross the North Fork of the Shenandoah just as you arrive). The artwork in the house is stunning and the furniture is lovely and warm. We did some remote work one of the days there and there were plenty of spaces to settle in and work. If you're here when the seasonal pool is open (it's inside the house), I imagine it being amazing since you can walk to it from the bedroom! There are bathrooms in each room (the master bath was great and spacious plus had a lovely bidet!), and then one near the dining room. Highly recommend this place for a nice reprieve and stunning views + a short drive into the George Washington National Forest (you can either head east to the forest or west toward the West Virginia border). There are a ton of wineries in this area, caverns, and more to check out (we've been in the area before so we really just wanted to enjoy the warm home and beautiful views). Tupac and Esme are extremely gracious hosts and very kind/easy to interact with, and they left a few small treats that made our trip extra special.
