Hotel was clean.
No strong smells, no pets (which for us with crazy allergies was appreciated)
Good strong air conditioning that you turn on upon arrival.
Kids liked the beds. Linens were soft. Beds are VERY high so hard to get on. A small seating area would have been nice for watching TV or putting shoes on but there is one spinny chair (and a desk). Having a fridge and microwave was a plus!
Breakfast was nice, eggs, sausage, make your own waffle (only 1 machine though so the line/wait was long with each turn taking about 3/1/2 minutes from fill to cook time) assorted bread/pastry, cereal, yogurt, coffee and juice). 2nd day most items were out twenty minutes to closing time but when alerted the clerk came and did a last minute fill.
Pool hours are fantastic. Open til 11:00
Pool is a bit more heavily clorinated. It and the hot tub are a nice size and loved there was a small shower right by the pool so you could rinse or wash off.
The reason for 4 stars...upon check I was told I needed to pay 9.95 per night extra for my stay since we booked 3rd party, ?though I paid for everything in advance). This was very frustrating. There was even a pre-electronically initialed agreement with 1 of 2 areas saying we agreed to pay these fees that I could not uninitial. I disputed these charges with the clerk and he said he would have them waived and not to mind the signature/initaled form. A card was then asked to be kept on file for incidentials (normal, but made me weary).
