Nice unit. Welcoming staff. Ground unit issues.

Nice, large room. The walls are a bit “thin.” We were able to hear every foot taken and conversation that took place in the upstair unit. Strongly suggest future travelers request the upstair unit (in buildings that have an upstairs). Workers were welcoming. I would stay there again, but in an upstair unit.

I felt safe but the room was just okay. It was clean but old and in need of an updating. The property is clean and grounds are taken care of, but it has seen better days. The price was low so it was worth the money if you don't expect a fancy room.

Did not need air conditioning but did use baseboard heat which was fine. We were on the bottom cabin and you could hear noise from the cabin above. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Ample parking.

Property is in great location, close to all amenities. Older property, but exterior is kept up. Room was clean and beds tolerable. Our shower floor had a huge crack through bottom of unit. Not sure how any room cleaner couldn't notice this while cleaning. Our room ended up not having a microwave or small fridge. Upon asking the front desk about such, they stated a handful of their rooms didn't include such. The office said we could use the microwave in the common area of the office to heat our food. Their office hours are from 9am-6pm. Problem is, they were always closing early without notice. This was very frustrating. Also, don't get room 10, its next to their laundry room and you will get zero rest during the day. We were there for deer hunting and would try to rest a bit during the middle of the day. Between the machines and the crew talking, it felt like they were in our room. I've stayed at pretty much every lodging option in Winthrop in prior years and thought I would give Virginian Resort a try. I will look elsewhere next year.

Great location, plenty of parking, Had dinner next door at the pizza spot, grabbed gas at the gas station next door on the way out the next morning. Staff was friendly and kind and even had a young curious deer walking around the property as well.

The room was super homey, cozy and clean! I wish we stayed here for more than just one night! Location was great, highly recommend the pizza place next door and the gas station next door on the other side was super convenient. The front desk receptionist was lovely and let us store our luggage there after checkout as we had heard that there were break ins at trailheads on the north cascades highway. Lots of hang out areas on the property both inside and outside so great for groups. Overall a peaceful area to stay!

Clean no frill roomy place to stay for almost a week. Kitchenette is great for us. I’d recommend bring own mobile WiFi or WiFi signal booster if plan to work online. But I will definitely come back here again in the heartbeat.

Cute cabin facilities right next door to groceries and an amazing dog friendly pizza place. Lots of fun things to do right there at the resort. Family run. Front desk closed early on us but there is an emergency number we could have used if needed. We left behind a pillow and they called to let us know. The cabins could use some updates but the price was so good we were not overly concerned about that.
