Beautiful mountain location
Lovely area , view and structures. We were 6 adults in town for a wedding, it was farther than I thought to Placerville and the venue, Apple Hill only because of the windy, twisty roads added time. The hot tub had a strong chemical odor and no one wanted to use it. The AC struggled to keep up with 90+ temps, the fans provided helped. Heads up, the main house tub is really slippery, a towel put down solved it. Kitchen very well supplied. You have everything you need, we only cooked one meal but could easily eat all there, also a bbq grill to use. Grandkids visited for a few hours and we took advantage of the games. What I enjoyed the most was coffee in the morning on the deck looking out over the valley!

Close to rafting, surrounded by nature & blissfully silent
Cosmic Casa was the perfect accommodation for a white water rafting trip with our adult children. The quiet property sits at the end of a country road and has extensive views of a wooded canyon and distant foothills. The sunsets are beautiful! There are a number of outdoor seating areas with warmly-lit ambiance for the evenings and an outdoor fireplace stocked with wood. The house itself is inviting and comfortable, bright with lots of windows to let the feel of nature in. Two decks, one to view the sunsets and another to watch the rising sun & moon. We cooked several meals in the well-stocked kitchen, the bed was comfortable and the cottages were perfect to give any guests you might have some privacy-one has a kitchenette and the other a bathroom. Everything was well-appointed and with a garden, houseplants, yoga mats and decorations that were fun to peruse, we truly felt at home. Morning coffee (provided) gently rocking on the porch swing under the Oaks with only the sound of bird song and the chatter of woodpeckers and squirrels to break the silence was pure pleasure. All that was missing was our 15 yo dog who we left home but the property is dog-friendly and fully fenced for your pup. It was a wonderful family trip and the rafting was exciting and fun even though the day was overcast and somewhat drizzly. I can only imagine the bright the full moon and stars glowing when the skies are clear. Thank you Gina for everything, you've been a great host!

Peaceful and restful
We rented this beautiful, peaceful property for my husband's 50th birthday, whitewater rafting weekend. There were six of us in our group, that included two children. The house is close to the town of Coloma where we were rafting, about a 20-minute drive into town. The property is spacious, with two bonus cottages adjacent to the main house. Plenty of space for everyone. The host graciously provided coffee and creamer and offered mint and rosemary from her garden. Just lovely. At night, it was calm and peaceful with the sound of a horse neighing in the distance and frogs croaking from the pond. During the day you can enjoy your coffee on the balcony, sitting on the swing chair by the pond enjoying the view, or walking in the garden. And the sunsets at the end of the day are divine! The house was clean, with a fully stocked chef's kitchen. The living room was cozy with plenty of seating for our group, and extra blankets to keep us warm and cozy. There was a great selection of board games to keep us entertained, and we found a star night light projector to gaze up at the stars in the living room. The house has a zen, peaceful vibe with beautiful serene decor, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious, and warm natural light spills into the house every morning! My son loved having the upstairs loft to himself. The loft has french doors that open out to a private balcony!
