Hotel was tired. Wall paper peeling over bar . Downstairs toilets terrible with mould and fungus growing. Room not clean . Convenient location and pleasant staff. Very over priced. Nearly £300 for one night without breakfast . Parking we were lucky as we arrived at 9.30 am , but only about 15 spaces.

The young man that booked us in was lovely and pleasant but the rooms need a major overall and was very cold, when we arrived in the room the window had been left open and it was -2. The bathroom towel heater didn’t work to dry the towels either

Just very basic. But also I tried calling to find out if there was carparking and after selecting hotel reception I ended up talking to an offshore call centre that insisted they couldn't help unless I had my booking ref. I didn't have my ref to hand so they couldn't help!!!!!! All I wanted to know is if there was a car park!!!!!!

The room was fine with a nice view of the Cathedral but showed considerable signs of wear and tear. The bathroom had a cracked basin, a toilet that wouldn't flush properly and a bath that hadn't been cleaned. We advised reception about the bath when we arrived, they promised to sort it the next day, but it was still dirty 2 days later when we left. Breakfast was fine (but definitely not free) and we enjoyed the location in the centre of Winchester.

The room was large and spotless. What stood out was the excellent customer service by the front desk person Zach. He was extremely helpful during our two nights. I would recommend this hotel to any visitor to Winchester.

The room was tired and dark (very dark furniture) If someone wanted to use a computer or prepare some paperwork, the lighting was not adequate One of the lamps was not working so we had to ask for someone to replace the light bulb The staff on Reception were great and very helpful The parking situation was awful - too few spaces!
