Our location is nestled in the holler, so a mile or two of gravel travel is expected before arrival. The cabin is elevated position above the lake means the driveway and path to the cabin and lake are on a downward slope. There are many steps to the cabin between the graveled driveway and the deck to door, are all well-lit should you arrive at night. The steps on the deck to the cabin door have railings for your safety.

Friendly Cabin in the Woods
We had a great stay, and the owners were fantastic. Plenty of sleeping arrangements for 4 people, and everything worked properly. You can enjoy a nice walk down the property to the lake or grab some wood for a fire. Great listing for a nice little getaway. Would definitely stay here again.

So Cozy and so clean
We visited for a bachelor party. Mary was AMAZING and helped us choose many of the activities that we took part in. This has a convenient location being on the water with a large deck, a grill, a modern kitchen and bathroom, and a cozy living room with several beds upstairs. I couldn’t be more happy with the place and with the host. I would and will recommend this to anyone and everyone looking for a place to stay that’s secluded but with access to the lake, breweries, golf courses, and more!

Great Spot Central to Bourbon Country
This was a low-key guys trip with my brother, brother-in-law, and three friends. This property was just what we needed. Central to Bardstown, Lawrenceburg and Louisville, it served as a great "home base" for the mornings and evenings. The bedding accommodations were great for the six of us and we enjoyed time both in the living room and on the back deck. The house was stocked with Keurig coffee and had a great kitchen for some breakfast there at the house. The only 2 things that I'd note is that it is on a dirt road (not an issue for us, but just noting if you're particular about your cars) and the driveway is on a rather significant gravel slope, so parking more than two cars might be challenging. All in all a great experience. And communication with the owners was above and beyond, readily available to answer any questions. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Beautiful wooded cabin
Stayed at the cabin with my two sons and a friend of theirs. We came from four different states to enjoy a guy’s trip. We participated in bourbon tastings, tours of distilleries, and attended the PGA tournament during our stay. The cabin was beautiful and the hosts have done a wonderful job of decorating the cabin and providing many thoughtful amenities. Communications with the hosts were easy, accurate and prompt.

If you are looking for a peaceful place to unwind … this is it!!
The cabin was so quaint and charming. Fully stocked with everything you need. The back deck overlooking the lake was so beautiful. We saw many birds and squirrels and a few people fishing. After a long day of distillery tours and sight seeing the back patio after sunset was the place to relax and sip a few adult beverages. The swing inside was my personal favorite - my spot for morning coffee. Would stay here again. Thanks!

A MUST PLACE TO STAY IF YOU ENJOY SERENITY... FROM THE INSIDE TO THE OUTSIDE. WE FELT AT HOME THE MINUTE WE STEPPED INTO THE CABIN, THE HOME WAS TASTEFULLY DECORATED WITH ANTIQUES, THE HOUSE SMELLED WONDERFUL LIKE A BAKERY SHOP, NOT TO MENTIONED THERE WERE LARGE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES IN A JAR JUST WAITING TO BE EASTEN, A TABLE SET WITH AN ELECTRIC NOSTALGIA, TO MAKE YOUR OWN S'MORES. WE HAD A VERY BUSY SATURDAY ENJOYING OUR 1ST TRIP TO SEE THE 150th KENTUCKY DERBY WHICH WAS ONLY 1 HOUR FROM THE CABIN. EASY DRIVE TO LOUISVILLE I MUST SAY. AFTER A LONG DAY AT THE RACE, WE CAME HOME TO A HUGE SHOWER THAT WAS LARGE ENOUGH FOR TWO. NOT TO MENTIONED THE TEMPUR=PEDIC MATTRESS IN THE MASTER BEDROOM WAITING FOR US TO REST THAT TIRED BODY OF OURS. THIS PLACE IS VERY CLOSE TO THE BOURBON TRAILS, WE ARE DEFINITELY COMING BACK TO ENJOY THE LAKE TO DO SOME FISHING AND TO ENJOY THE DISTTILLERIES THAT WE MISSED OUT ON THIS 1ST VISIT HERE AT THE CABIN A MUST PLACE TO VISIT. BY THE WAY, WE ARE AVID TRAVELERS & MUST ADMIT, THIS WAS ONE OF THE NICER STAYS FOR US IN A LONG TIME.... BRING YOUR FAMILY THERE'S PLENTY OF SPACE. WE BROUGHT OUR TWO ADULTS GROWN-UPS AND THEY ENJOYED THE CABIN AS WELL. THANK YOU FOR MAKING YOUR CABIN A GREAT PLACE THAT FELT LIKE HOME TO US. KC & KC
