For a quick overnight stay it fit the bill. But the lack of cleanliness was very disconcerting. I would not recommend nor would I go back. But it did suit its purpose and we survived.

I simply couldn't sleep or shower in the hotel. I went to another hotel. The room and bathroom were dirty and everything stank from the carpet to the walls etc. I preferred to lose what I had paid. This is my first bad experience renting from Expedia.

Do not stay here. Police were there for another guest and told us not to stay for more than one night. NO HOT WATER. The A/C did not work. The place had tons of issues with needing repair and the room smelled terrible even though it was non smoking. The smoke detector was missing with just wires hanging out of the ceiling. If I had not prepaid we would have stayed somewhere else.

Unfortunately this was a very poor experience, although the man checked us in was very polite. There was a strong "cooking" odor, even before entering the building. It was very strong in the lobby...not necessarily a bad smell, but very, very strong. The carpets on the first floor were in dire need of cleaning (beyond just needing a good vacuuming). In the first room we were given (double beds), the bedspread of one bed had holes in it, the sheets were stained, and there was hair in the bed. People in the room above our heads were walking heavily (this was after 10pm). We were given a different room on the third floor. There, the key wouldn't work. After we tried multiple times, the clerk came up to try...only to discover that the room was occupied. We chose NOT to stay. The clerk was very apologetic and refunded our stay with no difficulty. But after a long drive, long day and knowing the next day would also be long, all we wanted was a good night's sleep...not to have to continue to drive/look for a place (or possibly have to sleep in the truck)!

This location is extremely dirty and may make you want to cancel your reservation if you have the time. I was initially given an unclean room that hadn’t been serviced after the previous guest left, though I was later provided a different room. The new room also smelled bad, regardless of whether it was a smoking or non-smoking room. There are no proper amenities. Don’t be misled by the ratings and images on the website—this is one more hotel off my list.

I was looking for an affordable stay on the way to NYC but I don’t understand how this place is even allowed to stay open. I’ve never set foot in such a filthy hotel. Stains all over the carpets, walls, towels and bedding. Found two bugs. Our window was broken. Little holes in the walls. Food in the vending machine was expired. I’m shocked. I don’t believe the owners or management puts one tiny bit of effort into this place, which is unfortunate, because it does have potential.

The staff was below average but housekeeping was great. The owner was negotiable but the hotel needs a makeover ie: new carpets, a thorough clean, some paint, and softer beds. The area around the hotel has a diner which was great, a Burger King, and a convenience store/gas station that has the highest prices in CT!! All in all i give the area a solid 2 out of 5, but the diner a solid 4. The menue was ecclectic and the food & staff was great. Good travels.

Had paid for 5 nights. Could not locate the entrance. No TV, Next to Truck Stop: VERY NOISY. BUGS. Felt like something was biting me. Filthy, stinky, smelled of cigarette, gas, dirt, musty. Cold. Could hear people upstairs and all around my room. Arrived at 2am., left by 6. NEVER slept a second. Told the man I felt that there were bugs, so, I could not stay here, to cancel and refund. Just too filthy and the bugs. The man refused to refund, so, I submitted a complaint to my card company. Need to report to Health Dept. in Connecticut. Can't rent room with bugs. Ended up in a clean hotel further away and more costly, but, no bugs.

Worst overnight experience ever since traveling to Connecticut. Breakfast and pool advertisements but no pool and breakfast was something else. that it was better to refuse and purchase outside .The staff were pleasant. Bathroom small, linens scarce register for party of 4 got supplies for 2 upon checking in and 2 when request for linen service was made, for freshening up in the morning.Non smoking was like a smoke pit. Needs upgrading like yesterday. The outside of the property far exceeds the outdated furnishings etc.on the inside. Everything is old and smells the same only with cigarette smoke. NEVER again.

Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever seen. Went to check in, the lobby smelled horrible, the employee at the desk was drunk or hi. She kept repeating herself and saying how she has been working for 16 hours. I was handed key cards, walked into the room, beds were not made, sheets were piled up in the corner, there was still food, soda bottles and pizza boxes on the desk. Turned around, walked out, handed the key cards to the drunk lady and said, I’m not staying here or paying for anything. Her response: “ I wouldn’t stay here either”

When we arrived which was 10 minutes after check in time our room wasn't even ready. It took over an hour till we could actually check in. Once in our room it looked like it wasn't even cleaned at all. It looked like smeared stool on the bathroom wall. The bathroom door didn't even have a handle. The window had no screen on it, the room smelled moldy and there was garbage under the beds. The tv was missing a leg. The volume didn't work. Are room was next to the stairway which had a door and it slammed everytime someone walked through it. Someone tried coming in are room and the housekeeper had the nerve to leave an envelope that said tips please. The staff was rude. The owner and housekeeper were arguing in front of guests at the desk. And the owner kept calling my boyfriend big brother. The supposed continental breakfast consisted of cereal in ziplock baggies and no milk, toast and donut holes. It was the worst place I ever stayed at. It was only convenient because it was right off the highway in the same plaza as a TSA truck stop.
