Enjoy an intimate experience with nature and all the amenities of a luxury resort yet only minutes away from Traverse City's finest restaurants, beaches, wineries, shopping, and golf. Only 3 miles from the Great Lakes Equestrian Show and 1.5 miles from Turtle Creek Casino. This incredible dome-home has 1023 sq. ft. of living space with majestic views. That's over three times the size of a hotel room. The 20' tall ceiling contributes to an ambiance that is difficult to adequately describe other than "amazing."

Geodesic Dome Home #12 sleeps six (6) adults - more if you have small kids. The master bedroom area features a massive, handcrafted king-size barnwood bed that is positioned to provide incredible views of the surrounding pristine forest. There is a second bedroom space with a queen-over-queen bunk bed. This bunk bed is extremely sturdy and capable of holding four adults (or 5-6 children). The living room space has a full-size sofa and a coffee table. There is an indoor dining table and chairs. Should it rain, there is a TV and WI-FI to stream your favorite movie. There is a private, indoor bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom has a full-size tub and shower.

Outside you will find a second bathtub under a beautifully decorated gazebo. This outdoor bathtub is private and positioned so you can enjoy a relaxing bath while listening to the soothing sounds of nature.

Additional amenities include an indoor kitchen with a full-size refrigerator and an electric double burner countertop stove, AC & Heat, firepit, outdoor barbeque, hammock, and outdoor gazebo. The gazebo has an outdoor dining table and chairs. We provide one complimentary bundle of firewood for each day booked.

The dome has 1023 square feet of living space. Each dome's exterior has several thousand additional square feet of space for enjoying the outdoors.

Privacy - the domes were designed to provide privacy and a unique interaction with nature. The domes range anywhere from 80 feet to 250 feet apart, but even the ones with only 80 feet between them have a buffer of trees and shrubs, affording privacy. Each dome’s social area is on the opposite side of the other, providing additional privacy.

With 75 acres of private land surrounded by state land on three sides, you will have access to miles of trails for hiking and birding. Pine, cedar, spruce, and cherry trees provide a natural privacy barrier from neighboring accommodations. Neighboring accommodations range from 80' to 300' away. Please be careful driving in or out in the evening as there is an abundance of deer and other wildlife in the area. We seek to provide you with a unique, intimate interaction with nature, yet you are only a few miles away from the best of Traverse City.

NOTE: Our resort has nine (9) additional geodesic dome-homes. If this one does not have the desired dates available, or you would like an additional dome-home for a friend or family member, check out our other listings. Also, those domes listed with an extra bed - the beds take up minimal space. Each dome still has all the amenities for a wonderful vacation.
