Airport hotel, good standard exactly what you expect from a reputable chain. But like all other similar places, you stay there because it is convenient, you go there because you are in overnight transit and it is quite bland. In some respects, I'd rather have bland, but clean and reliable than sacrifice standards for interest.

Only one night stay so room was adequate, disappointed to find no hot water to wash in the morning, and then wash quickly before the water drained out of the sink. The plug not secure enough.

Had a flight cancellation so picked the Hilton because it was an easy walk from airport. Room much nicer than typical older rooms in London. I asked staff for tips a couple time about country codes and calling from the room. They did not try very hard to be helpful. Was charged 70 pounds for a 30 minute call to Portugal to change our flight. That was only because our cell signal was weak at the hotel. 70 pounds is robbery and I’m sure 68 pounds of profit. When I asked for a receipt staff initially offered visa slip only with no details what the charge was for. When I asked for a receipt that listed the charge as a phone call they reluctantly printed it out and gave me the stapler to attach the receipt myself. No English beer at the pub. But room location by airport and room made up for these issues.
