Everyone was very kind, the place was clean and well kept. I would have loved to give a five star review, but a main reason for choosing this place because of the pool and hot tub, which my company and I were unable to enjoy. I called and made known that there was a rambunctious crowd at the pool all day the day I was there, up until I last checked at 8:30pm. I was told I was not the first complaint, and that security was aware of the fact that this particular group was allowing people in from outside the hotel. Therefore, myself and my own group who were paying to stay there were unable to enjoy all that there was to offer. Furthermore, it was not just us. Two other groups walked in and right back out of the pool room. It was very unfortunate, and my guests and I were very disappointed. Aside from that, though, like I said, everyone was very hospitable, everything was clean, we enjoyed the complementary breakfast, etc. So it was just unfortunate that a bad group messed things up, and I understand how this may have put the hotel between a rock and a hard place. However, paying guests should be able to enjoy what they paid for.

All was great but the parking fees was ridiculously steep at $53 a night other than that loved the stay and wish breakfast would be until 10:30-11am especially on weekends. I will stay again when in DC but parking fee sucks.

Good place close to the National Mall and Wharf
6 day stay. This was my fourth or fifth stay at this Residence Inn. It has a great location for visiting the museums at the National Mall. It is an easy walk to the Mall and only a 1/2 mile walk to the Wharf, a great place for dinner. There is a metro station for the Blue Line less than two blocks a way, and for the red line a bit further but a very easy walk. There are few places to eat within a few blocks of the hotel. The folks who work there are quite friendly and helpful. The place is clean. Many families stay here during the summer, probably because of the free breakfast. It can get a bit noisy with the young children, but there is a separate room that is quiet. Palatable breakfast but they do run out of things on the weekend. One oddity was that the cleaners walked into my room at 8:15 AM--not sure why they'd be cleaning rooms that early. Another plus--it's a 10 minute cab ride to Reagan National Airport. If you're into walking, it's a nice walk to Eastern Market on the weekend--but take Independence to Pennsylvania to get there. This is not a swanky place but it is quite pleasant and the free breakfast will get you going without having to stop to get one or to make one in your room--though there is a full kitchen in the woom except for no oven.
