This is a gorgeous hotel in a nice location. We were very comfortable here and especially liked the courtyard for a drink and visit. Highly recommend!

This is in NO WAY a 4 star hotel! A 3 maybe.
This is supposed to be a non-smoking "luxury" 4 star hotel. We wanted to stay someplace beautiful and conveniently located to celebrate our wedding anniversary. However, someone was smoking and our room and bathroom was full of stinky smoke. When we contacted the front desk and the manager came he acknowledged he smelled the smoke and was completely unphased. He offered for us to switch rooms at 11pm at night and pack all our things which we were too tired to do. He made no attempt to find out where the smoke was coming from and hold the owner accountable. In fact he acted as if smoking WAS allowed even though their policy strictly stated otherwise. They refused to comp us for at least 1 night of our 2 night stay. They instead offered 1 night of free parking which I think is ridiculous. They also had us next to a utility room(very hard to sleep thru the nose l noise) on what felt like the basement floor of the building! Plus they made us wait about 45 minutes to get into our old dank and dark room despite us arriving well past check- in time. Don't do it!

My wife and I came to visit the African-American museum and the American Indian museum. Our accommodations at the hotel were excellent service was excellent and when we’re in DC again, we will book at this hotel.

The hotel was excellent very clean for quiet. Great customer service easy access to stores parking not far clean room must stay over. There was awesome. I would come back and I would refer a friend to that place overall great experience.

Boutique hotel with old infrastructure
At a time when hotels are pursuing a low staffing model, this hotel continues to prioritize service. However, the building itself is inconveniently retrofitted and not compatible with rolling luggage due to large staircases and thresholds floors. It is a great boutique hotel experience in a wonderful location, but know that there are drawbacks.

Service and check-in was great. Very convenient walking distance to convention center. Food was excellent with great service. The only downside when I extended my stay for one more night, the room rate increased to $900 for a one King size bedroom instead of $600 a night. Very steep price I believed for one night. OTHERWISE, Loved the hotel and look forward to staying there again!! U
