Most enjoyable stay!
Highly recommend Farmsaty! We stayed for a short Fall weekend and had the best time! The farm is very picturesque, and the barnyard animals were so much fun to meet and interact with. Our hosts Denise and Bruce were so kind to my very eager son, who kept asking how he could help on the farm. They even let him help with feeding and taking a wheel barrel of manure/hay out to a pile, which he especially loved. The lodging was nice, clean, and comfortable – lots of pillow, which is always a nice thing. We agree that we all had a good night's sleep. The sky at night is amazing so be sure to look up! I can't remember when I'd looked up and saw so many stars. Food: If you stay here, you are not far from a Hannaford’s supermarket as well as other places to eat. The suite has a Keurig and the host provided creamers. It also has a mini-fridge, microwave, and toaster. My only complaint was that I wish the fridge/micro was downstairs, but we made do so real not a big deal. On the recommendation of the host, we ordered pizza from McGreevy’s, and it was delish! The crust tasted homemade - I could have eaten the crust by itself it was so good. For lunch, we enjoyed some great good at the Trackside Station in Rockland, which has a kid’s menu. Be sure to try the pretzel bites with beer cheese! Check out nearby Sandy Beach for rock skipping fun! I am looking forward to making tomorrow’s breakfast with my fresh Birchfield Farm eggs the host gave us.

Beautiful farmhouse in the country
Denise and Bruce were right there to greet us. The house was beautifully maintained and updated. Becsuse of our age, going up and down the narrow staircase to the bathroom during the night was a little challenging

Highly recommend this cozy, cute farmhouse if you’re in the area. House is neat and clean and such a relaxing location in the country. Denise and Bruce answered all correspondence quickly and very helpful with suggestions about places we could try for dinner. There was a well stocked coffee bar and a small fridge and microwave to use. We enjoyed the animals and wished we would have had time to stay more than one night! ( Next time we will!)

What a gem!
If you are driving around Maine looking at all the farms thinking, “ I could live there.” This is your chance! From the sweet animals we were able to interact with, to the kind host, and the incredible porch for your morning coffee- I can’t recommend this place enough. Very private and beautiful! Highly recommend booking a couple nights towards the end of your trip. A great retreat after Bar Harbor.

A Great Place and Great Hosts
Our group of 2 adults and 1 toddler had a wonderful overnight stay at Birchfield Farm and plan to return. Communication, directions, description all accurate, hosts are very pleasant and accommodating. The place is roomy, very clean, comfortable beds, and a binder with information about the area. My daughter even enjoyed riding their horse while my grandson loved seeing all the animals. Truly a very enjoyable stay for all of us, thank you Denise and Bruce.

Beautiful house, farm, animals and wonderful hosts!
This stay was such a wonderful experience for our family! Beautiful house, farm, animals, and the kindest hosts you’ll ever meet! Comfy beds and 2 spacious bathrooms. A mix of farmhouse and modern additions was perfect. My teens fell in love with the horses, cow, sheep, and bunnies and were very happy to help with the horses in brushing their hair and even taking the small horse Charlie for a ride with a cart. Such a memorable stay. Fresh watermelon on the porch and a coffee bar for the morning was a welcome treat. Anyone would be lucky to add this as a stop on their itinerary. We stayed here a night between Portland and Bar Harbor after the fun Rockland Maine Lobster Festival and would have gladly added another. Moodys in town was great for dinner!

The couple who hosted were very kind and gave us a wonderful tour of their barns with lots of farm animals to pet and give treats to. It was one of the many highlights of my trip. This area of Maine was very hot for this time of year (July 15). The living areas and bathrooms didn't have AC but thank goodness the bedrooms did and worked nicely.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay. Denise was wonderful with communication and questions prior to our arrival, and they were welcoming when we arrived. The place was clean and had plenty of room - 2 bedrooms upstairs, sitting room and 2 bathrooms downstairs. Our dog enjoyed meeting the farm animals and walking around the property. We would definitely come back and hopefully bring our boys the next time.
