Lovely short break
We had a very pleasant stay here. House is well equipped, great for relaxing in, and we had some lovely walks to/from and around Bewl water. We'd highly recommend combining a walk with lunch at the Bull Inn!

Disappointed
We could not stay at this property. Unpleasant smell. Busy traffic on both sides of the house. We found a better and much cheaper cottage nearby. VRBO was of little help resolving our concerns with this property.

Acquaint Cottage, lovely having an open fire, could do with the logs being smaller, a lovely Village had everything you would need.

Great location
Great location for visiting the beautiful gardens nearby and being able to walk to some good pubs. The cottage is very old and full of character but is right on the edge of a road. It was too noisy to leave the windows open and not helped by a large pot hole outside the cottage.

Ticehurst
We arrived in Ticehurst the day of our stay around 4pm without any communication from the management company identifying the address and lock box combination. We finally met the ow Ed and received the key around 7pm. It was a very annoying experience. The stairs were very steep and the height of the doors were low. I am 5’8” and continuously bumped my head.

A big disappointment and a bit painful
Grubby and dusty, quaint with a few notable features. ungenerous with toilet paper and tea towels. Woken at 2am with gas boiler banging loudly and raising fear of explosion. Woken at 6am by CO alarm needing new batteries. Texted manager and phoned twice without getting through. Tried log fire but smoke wafted into living room without windws open - not gloves for managing fire. Scraped head 4 times on low door. Staircase a wonder of 18th century building but dangerous for all but the fittest. No bathmat for using in the shower - a bit hairy for the over 60s. Ligtht bulbs with not shade - hard on the eyes. Could not recommend to anyone. Pain not worth the price. The beds are fine. Only space for one car.

Wonderful!
Point Cottage was beautiful, clean, well equipped and there was a lovely welcome pack in the fridge. It was so comfortable and in such a lovely location. We created lots of wonderful memories and had glorious weather throughout our stay which made it even more perfect. I would highly recommend staying here!!

An absolutely fantastic cottage with great amenities and utilities. Great location.
Point cottage is in one word ‘Fantastic’. Mark & Helen were very kind and precise with everything, and their property was very homely and comfortable with the all the mod cons (a bigger TV would have topped it off). I will definitely be recommending this property and will certainly return in the near future. 5 out of 5

Nice old cottage that has everything you need
Large enough kitchen, well equipped. Dining area for 4. Small, but large enough for breakfast or a simple meal. Two small living rooms, each large enough for four. We used one for storing the suitcases. 2 Upstairs bed rooms with double beds. Beds are good. Didn't use the outside area because the weather didn't permit. Even 'though the place is very near to a road, we couldn't hear mush noise of cars. House is clean..Had to get rid of some spiders, my daughter insisted. Only annoying thing was that I had to hold my head down almost everywhere on the ground floor, even 'though I'm only 6ft2 (1,87 meters). Bumped my head once or twice. Other than that a great place to stay for a couple of days. Plenty to do and see in the area, or within reasonable driving distance.

Türen sind ziemlich niedrig, also mind your head!

So English
A lovely cottage with a nice garden. Very good beds and cosy living rooms with open hearth. Cars are driven very fast at the road by the house but with the windows closed the noise is to do well. We felt very welcome so many thanks to the owners!

England pur
