Fabulous property
Everything was perfect. Little Byways is a beautiful holiday home. It’s spotlessly clean and superbly equipped, even with a pair of binoculars to admire the wonderful views. Little byways is the perfect location for coastal walks, cycle rides, fabulous beaches, lovely coastal towns to visit and country pubs to eat in. Both myself and my husband would highly recommend it. We visited in December and chose to eat in three nights out of five as we wanted to spend time relaxing at the house and making use of the cosy log burner.

A relaxing long weekend
The house is spacious for two and had everything that we wanted for a few days away. Close enough to Padstow but out in the country with wonderful views over the fields to the river in the distance. Easy to get to lots of coves to enjoy the sea. Communication was easy and gave us all that we needed. Would definitely chose again if we go back to the area.

Peace and Perfection!
This beautiful property was perfect for a couple. Wonderful open plan, large, modern, tasteful downstairs and romantic double bedroom up small open staircase. Fabulous views from huge picture windows across to the estuary and Rock beyond. A beautiful, well stocked garden with seating. Every comfort had been considered. At the end of a short lane with no passing traffic - we loved the peace in contrast to the busy Cornwall villages in August. Will definitely recommend.

Oh Wow!!!
Oh my word, this cottage went above and beyond our expectations. We sat looking out of the window most of the time, it was just beautiful. Watching all the birds, foxes, rabbits, as well as cows and sheep in the nearby fields and a distant view of the sea. There was plenty of space, very comfortable, a large bathroom downstairs with a bath and an ensuit with walk in shower. Bed is lovely and soft, note to self though, its very bright as the morning sun shines right through the window as it comes over the hill, whilst I witnessed some spectacular sunrises, I did have to buy an eye mask lol. The kitchen has everything you need, the lounge is very comfortable with a lovely relaxing colour scheme, and 2 sets of patio doors which open on to a well established garden. I sat most mornings having my coffee watching the wildlife and enjoying the sun. We will be going back next year, if I could move in I would, its not very often we both don't want to leave a holiday let.

Clean, light, airy, spacious, very comfortable, very well appointed - I felt at home here. Decor, furnishing, amenities, equipment - all more than you would expect and above standard. Good WiFi connexion - Bluetooth speaker. Location - in a quiet cul-de-sac with parking off the main road but no traffic noise. Great outlook- calming views across fields over the estuary of the River Camel to the coastal village of Rock the other side of the water. Very nice terrace and small garden with furniture - unfortunately rainy, windy weather meant I didn’t get the opportunity to sit outside. Padstow is a few minutes away by car, and a reasonable Tesco for provisions. Plenty of local restaurants. Fans of Asian food might like The Journeyman at Mellingey Mill about 4/5 minutes drive away where I had Nepalese lamb curry - excellent. Owners pleasant, unobtrusive but nearby if needed. Little Byways is such a nice place, great value for money - exceeds expectations.

A perfect winter break
We thoroughly enjoyed our all-too-short stay at Little Byways. With plenty to see and do within a 10-15 minute drive, we didn’t need to travel far, even in November when many places were closed for the winter. In the strong winds and rain we were warm and cosy, and during the sunny spells it was wonderful to watch the ever-changing light across the landscape. We really appreciated all the thoughtful touches which make a holiday cottage feel more like a home. So glad we found Little Byways.

Stunning retreat
We stayed at this stunning retreat for a week in August. The property is set in a beautiful location of rolling hills and views to Padstow with the company of gorgeous cows in the adjacent field. The garden is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and lovely plants. The hosts have thought of everything you could need in any weather and provided comfort with style and good design. The location is ideal for nearby historic villages and local bays and beaches and Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, Mevagissey, and other south coast places are less than an hour away. We enjoyed visiting Falmouth to see the tall ships and Fowey for the regatta. Don’t miss hiring bikes and cycling the Camel Trail, a beautiful route taking in the river and woods on a flat route with lovely sustainable refreshment stops on the way. Wonderful restaurants and pubs in the village, Padstow and neighbouring beaches including Harlyn Bay with car park, cafe and beach bar facilities with good surf and amazing views from the cliffs. Thank you Jane, it was lovely to meet you, we would love to return in future. Lesley and Ray

Peaceful Relaxing Retreat
The property is light and airy with a good balance of items to make it feel homely rather than just a holiday home. There has clearly been a lot of thought gone into the inside and garden and is well looked after. We enjoyed the impressive views with large windows and bifold doors to let in the sea air. There was a good help guide and lots of very helpful walking maps and guides which helped us select activities to do in the local area for the week. Jane popped up to make sure we were ok on arrival but otherwise let us enjoy our holiday. The scones with jam and cream plus milk to give you a cuppa on arrival was very thoughtful. I would certainly recommend it as a great place to go and relax and be able to walk in the local area or down to Padstow although the hills on the way back are rather up and down. A couple of things we found: the mattress was good quality but a bit too soft for us so it would not suit all, but that's a difficult one to suit everyone. a bit more cupboard space in the kitchen for food would have been helpful. However on the plus side we were not lacking any cooking item you would want in your holiday and it was one of the best stocked i've come across. The only thing that ruined one night and day was the road being resurfaced which went on until 230am meaning sleep was not really possible through the noise. It would have been nice to be aware before we arrived. However, now that completed.

We had a fantastic stay at Jane and Roger’s beautiful property, with its spectacular views, peaceful location, and a beautiful garden that is a sun trap. The property is immaculate throughout, with the greatest attention to detail. It’s very close to Padstow, and a fabulous pet store/ garden centre/ come cafe which does amazing food and drinks.
