My main issue is there is no AC!! You can not be comfortable without AC in any hotel. Also no coffee maker or microwave. You are very far off from anywhere so having these few things would help the stay much more enjoyable. If you are on for extra privacy pick some place else. But the Views!! OMG The VIEWS are AMAZING, very peaceful place to have some alone time.

It was clean and the view was amazing. First night it was very quiet but second night there was a family upstairs with a crying child, very loud. I was about to contact the management but they stopped around 10 am. Other theb that everything was perfect, no hair conditioner in the shower so if you have a dry hair like me do not forget to bring your own.

The location is great-right on the ocean. The pool is also great-warm and clean, good sized. The breakfast was ok, nothing special. The room was dated. Sheets seemed like they were 100 years old. Bed and pillows need replacement. Service was pretty good. Parking lot is bad as the spaces are way too narrow. Our new car got a door ding and we had to shoehorn the car in the spaces. Passenger has to get out before you park. The lunch at the restaurant was pretty good. Overall, a cool place but it really needs some love. No extras in the room, not even a coffee maker but they do have that continental breakfast. They are coasting by on their location. Take that away and it's a no go. It was my second visit. Not sure if I'm going back as there are other options in Ventura.

Our room, while simple and dated, was very clean and comfortable. The location along the water is stunning and unique. Dinner was delicious and our wait staff friendly and professional. We could not say the same for the hotel staff. No one answered our several phone calls that day at the front desk. Check-in service...well, it was bad. It was the weirdest, worst check-in experience I have ever had, hands-down. When we arrived at the desk to check in, there was an adult woman sprawled on the floor under the counter with a large purse, two phones she was charging from a wall outlet, notebooks. etc. She was so completely and aggressively occupying the narrow space beneath and in front of the counter that I had to lean out in space over her to give my ID and card to the woman checking me in. I muttered a polite "pardon me" as I tried to brace myself and sign papers and also not touch her, but other than that neither the hotel employee (who was definitely aware of the situation) nor the woman on the floor offered an apology or acknowledged the situation at all. It took a long time to complete the process, with the employee retreating into an office several times while we stood over and too close to the woman on the floor for an embarrassing length of time. It had a feeling of unreality, like a scene from a developing country rather than a hotel on a prime piece of California coastline. Rude and so so strange, but it didn't ruin an otherwise lovely stay. Your mileage may vary...
