I think we stayed in the older tower which had a bit of a sulfur smell. The pullout couch was old and appeared stained. The bathroom had a few stray hairs. The room was overall quite cramped. Upside was the fitness center was nice and the hotel was centrally located.

It took over 90 minutes to be assigned our room and only done so with our frequent trips to the front desk. We were told that the delay was due to the hotel being fully booked the night before and the night we were staying so housekeeping was having difficulties keeping up. Hire more staff then! We dud notice that bus load after bus load of guests on tour seemed to be getting placed. Having traveled extensively in North, Central, South America and the Caribbean, never have we experienced such poor/negligent service. Our room, although lovely with great views from wall to wall windows, was not quite as clean as it should have been (i.e. pay attention to cleaning toilets properly). Not thrilled!

I waited in line for over 30 minutes to check in. The check in was very inefficient. There was black mould on the windows and curtains. Coffee in the lobby was always empty. For the price, i would not stay hete again.

Overall the hotel was nice, clean, and friendly staff. Check-in/out was easy and fast. The biggest perk for this hotel is definitely the location! We were able to walk to pretty much everything we needed during our stay. Some of the cons for this hotel are no complimentary breakfast, no outdoor seating area (disappointed the pool was only indoor), and no airport shuttle. This was all a little surprising considering the amount they charge, I suppose you pay for the location!
