Due to its volcanic origin Ustica is also called the black Pearl of Mediterranean Sea hiding secrets deserving to be discovered. From its sprawling vineyards and prickly pears to the paths to follow from the beach to the natural wonders of this place, up to the archeological areas where everything looks like steady in time.
Our tiny house of shells has been enriched by the owners with shells collected on the isle. That’s where its name comes from. It is surrounded by countryside, however it takes only 5 minutes walk to get to Cala Sidoti, a beautiful pebble beach located in a marine protected area.
From the shaded and breezy outside veranda you can enjoy a splendid sunset in front of a relaxing appetizer at the end of the day.
The isle can be reached by hydrofoil from the Port of Palermo, and if you prefer to travel without car, do not hesitate to ask one of us. We are more than willing to suggest car or motorbike hire for the all duration of your journey. The house is 4 km far from the Port and from the village where shops and supermarkets are available.
