The best part of this hotel is the location. Easy walk to anything you might want to see downtown Uppsala. There was no heat in the room, but after calling the front desk, they promised a portable heater to be brought when the front desk shift changed. That wasn't good enough, so I went downstairs to get the heater, and they then brought it up immediately. It worked well. The elevator to the garage is a serious pain the butt. You have to pull open a door, with a lot of force before the elevator sliding door is accessible. Same when you get out, you have to push the outer door open with a lot of force, which is difficult when you have two heavy luggage bags with you. Also, when leaving the hotel the last time, you don't have any room key anymore, so you cannot activate the elevator to the basement to get to your car. Another pain in the butt. You have to exit the elevator through that heavy door and go ask for a spare key, and then get back in, and then throw the key away after you have gotten to your car. Not very green, with no really benefit to security either. There is a sauna the elevator goes to as well, perhaps that is why there is such security on that elevator. The breakfast was the second best of seven hotels in Sweden and Germany we stayed at. Normal cold cuts and so on, but a great selection, not oversalted. The trash can in the bathroom was another pain. You had to open with one hand, and put the trash in the other. Why not a foot operated lid?
