It was our first stay in the Lake District and we couldn’t have picked a better hotel. We were very pleased with its location on the lake and its very near proximity to the lake cruises. The facilities are excellent which includes everything from the reception, through to the bars and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us.

Sixteen of us went for a family birthday, staff were wonderful, food was great and what a fantastic setting. Plenty of wet weather stuff to do in the hotel itself. Will definitely go again.

Its ok. Views are incredible but eveything else is average or less which was disappointing. You are paying for a travel lodge experience with incredible views. Unfortunately not travel lodge prices. Sadly, wouldn't recommend. Its not that it was awful, but when a hotel charges higher than average prices, you expect higher than average service and experience, which was not the case.

Best hotel we have stayed in.
Fantastic hotel in great location right on the lake next to cruises, aquarium and free parking for guests. Great check in with personal show round of hotel and where room located. Room was nice and clean with lots of tea/coffee/biscuits..Excellent food in restaurant and the swimming area had everything (large pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna) and was very clean and well maintained. Nice lounge area next to lake. We stay in lots of hotels but think this is the best with most care taken by staff to ensure a good stay. Will definitely visit again.

My son and his girlfriend had only got engaged an hour before going to the hotel, who were then telephoned and asked to make their stay special. Not only did the hotel not provide anything extra, they didn't even congratulate them

Booked into a cosy room, very disappointing small room with a view of a wall and close to a service area which was noisy, toilet not very clean. Spoke with reception who asked us to come back to the reception area where we met the duty manager who kindly upgraded our room which was lovely with a nice view. Staff and facilities were great.

Lovely hotel situated right on the bank of lake Windermere…. Room was really nice but could have done with a firmer mattress. Staff were really good and a few honeymoon treats surprises made the stay more enjoyable.

Fantastic place to stay had an amazing time celebrating our anniversary and can't wait to go back. The staff were great and showed us around the hotel when we arrived as it was our first time at the hotel. The only issue we had was there was no Vegan breakfast for my wife only porridge but besides that we enjoyed our stay.
