Amidst the island of Usedom, trapped between Baltic Sea and backwaters, is the seaside resort of Ückeritz. Ückeritz is a small seaside resort. Predominantly low houses have still points to the character of the former fishing and farming village. In Seebad Ueckeritz see a 7 km long, wonderful, sandy Baltic Sea beach. Popular destinations are the historical information center at Peenemunde, the Amber Spa in Zinnowitz and Ostseetherme in Ahlbeck. Well-maintained bicycle paths invite to cycling. Shops and a train station are in place. To the beach 20 minutes walk.
