Entire Cozy Cottage Historical Tyler Azalea District

We would love to welcome you and your pets to our fully fenced-in humble cottage, built in 1946 and located in one of the nicest streets in Tyler’s historical Azalea District. Our guests ❤️ coffee bar, featuring 5 different kinds of coffee. You can have most people’s favorite Mr. Coffee brewed coffee (Folger’s) or opt for 3 different kinds (dark roast, Donut shop or DeCaf) of barista style coffee in our Cusineart single serve coffee machine. We also offer grind and brew using Lavazza coffee beans, for a cup of regular, strong or espresso. Our neighborhood features homes from the 20s, 30s and 40s and everyone plants Azalea bushes in support of the 60 year tradition and the annual Azalea festival in spring. We lovingly restored our cottage, retaining many of the original details. Tall windows dominate all of the rooms, letting in light that is filtered through the shade of the old live oak trees in the front and the huge pecan tree in the back. We have recently rejuvenated the kitchen and bathroom and are extremely pleased with the results. Our cottage sleeps 4 comfortably, with a roomy queen sized bedroom and a spacious king-sized bedroom. Our beds feature high quality mattresses and toppers, 100% cotton sheets and quilts with extra pillows and blankets in the closets for chilly nights. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, 2 night stands, 2 bedside lamps and built in closets. The King sized bedroom has a built in lighted vanity/workspace and the queen sized bedroom has a full mirrored dresser and designated work space.
We recently fully fenced in our backyard so that our 4 legged guests can enjoy the outdoors without having to be on a leash. We greatly appreciate our guests who clean up meticulously after their fur babies.
Our cottage is carpet free, with hardwood floors throughout. The bathroom is tiled and the kitchen floor is linoleum. We clean all the floors after each guest with our Tineco FLOOR ONE S5 Steam Cleaner Wet Dry Vacuum All-in-one, so they enjoy a hygienic and dust free stay at our cottage. All blankets and bedspreads are washed on a regular basis and the furniture is vacuumed with a special upholstery vacuum. Spotlessly clean and keeping everything in exceptional working order is our number priority.
We provide amenities such as coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, shower caps, make -up cloths, large, thick bath towels, laundry soap, a washer and dryer as well as all of the usual toiletries. You would expect to feel at home.
If you let us know in advance we can provide a baby bed and a high chair for your stay.
We offer a double car port and recommend that you use it because birds roost in our trees at night.
We have all new appliances in our kitchen including a 4 burner ceramic topped stove, microwave, dishwasher amd double Samsung refrigerator.
You will find our kitchen fully stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. Even the grocery store is close by! UT health is around the corner, making our cottage the perfect place if you work there or need to visit.
