Checking in was very unfriendly. Our bathroom had black mold in the shower and we didn’t realize until the morning when we took showers so obviously no compensation from the hotel for the unsafe conditions

Our room was on wall to the very busy road. Very noisy all night long. Breakfast was all pre packaged. Coffee was weak. It was ok for a one sleep.

Good customer service experience overall. But the room was covered in ants. We were told unfortunately a refund might not be possible “since we entered the room” but the room would have need to be cleaned due to the ants anyways. We were told that the hotel is on an ant hill and out of their control but we ended up staying at the Avid next door, and not a single ant and well kept, so I do not understand the initial ant comment. I requested a refund as we checked out a few hours later after noticing the ants once we got back from the store. Waiting to hear follow up. Photos of the ants in the room were provided to the chat representative I chatted with.

My experience with the hotel and staff especially Justin was horrible. The hotel was very dirty, I asked him if our room had housekeeping come he said they should have. It smelled like smoke, which I cannot handle and the floor and bathroom didn’t look like they were cleaned so I asked to switch my room because it was dirty and smelled awful. He said in order to do that I had to pay extra which he charged me. I don’t think I should have to pay extra to have a clean room. I don’t think I will go thru hotels.com any more unless you refund my entire hotel stay. I work for a hotel brand and our staff goes above and beyond to have great customer service and clean rooms. Also I had to iron one of my clothing and the iron had burn marks on it which I didn’t notice until it ruined my skirt that I just bought in Italy. That was very upsetting as this my first time wearing it. This hotel was unacceptable and ruined what would have been a wonderful vacation overall. I expect to hear from you soon. Thank you

Not Satisfied with being double charged for a room
The employee who checked us in did not have a grasp of why I balked at asking for another card other than the one I used to book the hotel. He just said " The screen says, try another card". so I gave him another card and it said the same thing on his screen. I stopped him and said "I'm not giving you another card until you can tell me why the first AND the 2nd card did not let the amount for the stay, show the card as good. He said "Let me call my manager". He went around the corner to talk to her so I couldn't hear the conversation. While he did that I checked both of my cards using my phone. At that moment, I got a call from "fruad Protection" stating I had been charged twice for the same amount from this hotel. I checked the original card and it also had two charges for the same amount (2-day stay was $700 for a crappy room!). The manager then came to explain to me why it happened. I said I don't care what you say, Fraud protection says there is two charges on both of my cards. You have to fix it. They said it would all fix itself, when I checked out as they don't charge me anything until I check out. Well it's Sunday and both cards still show double charges, from Days Inn.

I will say this hotel was VERY clean and most of the staff was welcoming and friendly. There are updates to the bedding, furniture and flooring in bath. BUT the shower temp mechanism was broken in our room ( they changed us to another room, but annoying to pack up everything. ).
