So so
The welcome pack consisted of a bottle of Normandy cider (which we don't drink) and a box of coffee pods. No milk to go with the pods. The fridge contained an opened pack of President butter that had been there for how long? The gite is small as expected from the description but we never expected it to be so cluttered. In an area of 40cm squared were to be found a kettle, a coffee pod machine, a drip filter coffee machine and a toaster. The kettle needed to be unplugged to refill. The fridge/freezer is very good. The shower is excellent although there is no anti-slip shower mat and no grab handle for older people so quite dangerous. I had to put a towel on top of the shower tray. There was just a 3/4 used toilet roll with no spare. Cleanliness was fine: no cobwebs, decent linen on the beds. But the mezzanine is definitely for children as the very low beams mean bumped heads for adults. The living room/dining room is cluttered. The glasses are laughable: wine glasses the size of large thimbles, water glasses from Nutella, some other things from yogurt (possibly?). Small glasses for beer. Not good. The dishwasher is excellent. We used the main one and not the one under the cooker hob. The hob was marked and difficult to clean as there was not an induction hob cleaner just three different sorts of vinegar. The vacuum cleaner didn't work because it was blocked so we couldn't clean on exit. So 3* is fair.

A week in May.
Cosy, characterful little house, nice garden, quiet & peaceful. We stayed here in May with our grown up son. Brilliant base for exploring Bayeux, Caen and the coast. Even made it Mont St. Michelle. We really enjoyed being close to the many beaches with all their history, and beautiful scenery. Bayeux convenient for shopping, eating and more history. Own transport essential. We'd go back!

Lovely cottage in a superb location
This is a lovely property. The owner and her representative are both very cooperative. I slightly faulted the cleanliness due to spiders in the bedroom closet. We had to vacuum them out before putting in our clothes. I faulted the online listing due to internet availability. We counted on this as part of the rental yet it was not available for nearly half of our stay. With the wifi either down or at dial-up speeds, we had to spend extra on our cell phones to get basic internet for planning our daily excursions.

Cosy quirky gite for 2.
The gite was equipped with all the necessary equipment and the bed was very comfortable. A lovely garden to sit in after cycling the lanes and tracks around this area.

Charming cottage with nice outside lawn and all needed appliances. Close to Bayeux and Arromanches
Cottage was just fine and appliances were very useful if one wished to cook and do laundry (we didn’t). However, house was cool and damp and we couldn’t get it warmed up via the wood stove (may have been our incompetence). Towels didn’t Dry well from day to day. Had to purchase everything needed e.g. soap and shampoo which was a bit of a surprise. Location was excellent especially close to lovely small, historic seaside town of Arromanches. Restaurant recommendations by owner were spot on and we enjoyed two excellent meals in the town. It was a unique artificial harbor post D-Day and many signs of it are still present. Also close (8 km) to historic Bayeux which we frequently visited to meet DDay beaches tour and view Bayeux Tapestry, etc. All logistics were handled well by owner and her assistant who met us timely on our arrival. House was clean and ready for occupancy with guide brochures and advice aplenty. My son slept in the loft upstairs which is a low ceilinged area. He was convinced he heard an animal in the ceiling above him each night walking around for quite awhile. This is something that should be investigated by owner. All in all, pleased and grateful for opportunity to stay in this lovely cottage or gite as they call it.

Perfection in Normandie
Really enjoyed our stay in this cute little cottage. Just a few miles outside of Bayeux made it a great location for exploring Normandie area. Parking area for our car, incredible grounds around the cottage, and don't forget to set the washer water level on low. Really, dishwasher, stove, shower, TV with a collection of DVDs were great. WIFI hot spot could use improvement.

A relaxing stay in a cozy cottage
This tiny cottage in Tracy sur Mer welcomed me, my husband, our two year old son, and my father-in-law for a few nights. It was exactly what I was looking for as a place to stay in the country but close enough to attractions. Our stay was very relaxing and we really enjoyed time spent in the large garden where my son could run and play after a long day of exploring the local area. We made a fire each night in the wood stove and were thankful for the large supply of chopped firewood available to us. As a mother of a young son, I found the washing machine to be quite helpful. There is no drying machine but the large drying rack provided was good enough. We bought food at the local grocery store and cooked almost all of our meals at the cottage in the large kitchen that has plenty of cookware. As far as location, we couldn't have found a better place. A short drive to all of the D-day sites and 1.5 hours to Mont Saint-Michel. Thank you Catherine for renting out such a beautiful cottage and being so friendly via email and telephone!

Verblijf in Tracy sur Mer
