Charming stone house, nestled in the heart of the Normandy countryside, very spacious, tastefully decorated, quality services. Garage and fully enclosed planted land. Ideal for family holidays, visiting the region.

Ground floor: Hall, living room, magnificent living room where you can share your meals around a 'monastery' table in a Norman setting and relax enjoying the charm of a large open fireplace.
In the kitchen, everything is at your disposal to offer you quality equipment in a pleasant and functional space.
Upstairs, the same refinement was brought to the decoration of the 3 bedrooms, bathroom and separate WC.

Located on the border of the department of Manche and Calvados, near the A84 motorway (3 km), it is halfway between the landing beaches (65 km - 1 h) and Mont Saint-Michel (72 km - 50 min)

Its geographic location in the center of Manche is an ideal starting point for discovering Lower Normandy and in particular the coast of the Manche department and its 350 km of coastline, namely:

ON THE WEST COAST
- to the south: Saint-Malo, corsair town, Mont Saint-Michel a must-see tourist site, Granville its fishing and sailing port. Going up the coast you can enjoy an extraordinary and varied coastline with its dunes, its harbors (La Vanlée, Regnéville and St-Germain-sur-Ay), its coastal towns where you can stroll, practice fishing on foot or enjoy excellent local gastronomy without forgetting the islands of Chausey, Jersey, Guernsey, Sark (many daily maritime connections from Granville or Barneville-Carteret)

- further north: a detour is essential at the Moulin de Vauville the Osmonville biscuit factory without forgetting Barneville-Carteret, La Pointe de la Hague, Le Nez de Jobourg, Auderville and its renowned restaurant 'La Malle aux épices', Port Racine smallest port in europe and then Cherbourg its ferry terminal and La Cité de la Mer.

ON THE EAST COAST
Going down you will discover Le Val de Saire, Le Phare de Gatteville, Barfleur, St-Vaast-la-Hougue and then Sainte-Mère Eglise and the famous landing beaches without forgetting the American cemetery of Colleville-sur-Mer and the Memorial of Caen.

Closer to us and CENTER MANCHE
Saint-Lô and its Saturday market where local products are widely represented without forgetting the stalls of fish, seafood and shellfish. Saint-Lô is also a city where it is good to stroll at the foot of its ramparts and without forgetting its national stud farm. Villedieu les Poêles and its bell foundry, Torigni-sur-Vire, its castle, and its typical Monday market, its pedalos and for thrill seekers the Bungy (bungee jumping) at the Souleuvre viaduct. Champrepus zoo is a visit not to be missed for young and old!.
Make yourself comfortable in this cottage, which features a fireplace. There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a DVD player is provided for your entertainment.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as barbecue grills.
Guests will find features like internet access and onsite parking.

Property in Guilberville
We enjoyed our stay very much - everything we needed was in the property. The host, Jean-Claude was most welcoming and friendly. Most mornings we could get fresh croissants from the boulangerie in the village and there is a good local restaurant just 5 mins up the road. We especially appreciated the washing machine and tumble dryer as the weather in October was not ideal for drying clothes.

Elegant and Spacious
Jean-Claude's converted family home was wonderful. It was elegant, spacous, very clean, well equipped, well decorated, and just a pleasure to spend time in. It is a very quiet neighborhood. It had everything we needed for our stay. Cooking was easy. Doing laundry was easy. The kitchen diner was great for breakfasts and the more formal dining area was great for dinners and games of Scrabble. Jean-Claude was welcoming and helpful. It would have been even better if we had spoken French as it would have allowed us to converse more with Jean-Claude. The location is central for exploring Normandy with access to both the east and west coast of the peninsula. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Jean-Claude

Charming, comfortable and central to all Normandy!
This gite couldn’t have been more perfect for our week traveling around the department. We travelled in every direction and found every comfort when we got “home” whether we had to make a meal, warm up or chill out! M. Corbrion is a gracious and super knowledgeable host who shared his passion for the region in many ways up front and was available if needed. We could easily have had the same experience with the 2-4 others who were originally going to travel with us.

Property was as described and more. Host was awesome! Google translate and you are in a conversation. He is very accommodating to non-French speaking visitors. One hour or less from everything. A beautiful spot in a great part of the country. 15 minute drive to three major grocery stores. I hope to return, a home away from home. Merci Jean-Claude!

The owner is very friendly, showed us on arrival where there was something beautiful to see. The emails beforehand came quickly and were adequate. In the house there was a bunch of flowers to welcome. The house is clean. The necessary equipment is there, even a (hand) lemon squeezer and a cheese slicer! From the house you can easily reach sights in all directions by car.

An amazing property with a lovely host
The gîte is in excellent condition and very well situated in the town. Plenty of parking and very close to the local corner shop and bakery. The town is centrally located in the region with easy access (by car) to the local points of interest. Our host, Mr Corbrion, was very warm and friendly and respectful of our needs. We were able to communicate quite well with my basic French and our holiday was very relaxed as a result. Even our dog enjoyed the property with the enclosed garden where he had freedom to run about. Would definitely visit again. Thank you for your hospitality Mr Corbrion!

Family holiday in Normandy
Have just returned from a family holiday in Normandy staying at the Gite owned by Mr Corbrion. On arrival at the Gite we were met by our host Mr Corbrion who was very welcoming and provide lots of information on where to go and what to see in the area. The house is set in a lovely village with a super bakery and local shop. It is ideally located for both the Normandy Beach tours and the more historical adventurers, with some truly amazing things to see. The house itself was very comfortable and well equipped, with plenty of outside space to relax in. We found the whole area very tranquil, a place you can truly unwind. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends and family, and we are very likely to return.

Central Location in Normandy
Centrally located gite in a quiet village. Gite was exactly as represented, we were met by Jean-Claude who doesn't speak English and we don't speak French so there was a language barrier. Fortunately he had a translation app that worked well although we might have asked for more detailed local information if we had a common language. He did point us to one of the highlights of the trip - Christian Dior Musee - Dior's childhood home in Granville. As mentioned the gite is located in a small village - so small that it only had a bar and bakery however Torigni-sur-Vire is only a 10 minute drive away - many shops around the main square and a Carrefour on the outskirts. Don't miss the Saturday market in St. Lo. So much to see that we couldn't cover it all in a week. Would stay again if we return to the area.

Perfect home from which to explore La Manche
All of La Manche's many stunning sites are within easy driving distance making the gite a perfect base. The house has large, comfortable rooms, a good-sized garden, is spotlessly clean and well-equipped. You are not in the countryside but having an excellent boulangerie 5 minutes' walk away is more than compensation. Their rhubarb tart is superb. Monsieur Corbrion could not have been more charming, welcoming, flexible, and knowledgeable about the region. Family plus 2 dogs had a wonderful 2 weeks

Superb in all respects
If anything, the property is even better than the pictures. The gite is immaculately clean, the property is in excellent shape, spacious and with every amenity. There is an onsite garage so our car was safe and secure (and out of the rain showers). Mr Corbrion was a perfect host, easy going and very helpful with everything. His knowledge about the surrounding area, its history, customs and lore is prodigious and he shares it willingly. He was very helpful in suggesting sites to visit, as well as with practical information: shopping, supermarkets, petrol stations, and even the city recycling centres. And Mrs Corbrion presented us with flowers and the unexpected surprise of her delicious teurgoul (rice pudding) on our arrival - a generous bowl quite sufficient for the four of us. The gite is perfectly located in the Normandy area and is within a half hour's drive of Bayeux and St Lo, both very good jumping off points for visiting the Normandy beaches, Mont St Michel and other sites of the area. I highly recommend Mr Corbrion and his beautiful place to anyone who is thinking of visiting La Manche and would like to have a pleasant stay away from the hassles of city hotel dwelling.

Very comfortable house
We have returned from a weeks stay in Normandy. Upon arrival we were met by Jean Claud, the owner, who has his own house nearby. The village is very peaceful and safe. The house itself is completely fenced apart from the sliding gateway which allows your car to enter, there is a spacious garage to house your car along with any bikes etc. The house itself is a sympathetic ground up renovation which allows you the feel of a traditional Normandy stay but with everything being modern and state of the art as you would expect with a new house. There are electrically operated shutters on the downstairs windows and doors for added security though you don't feel as if you need it. It puts your mind at rest if you have passports or other valuables you wish to keep safe whilst out. There's space everywhere, downstairs a modern kitchen with utility area plus a large family table. Through to a hallway and central staircase then into the lounge area which has ample soft seating and another large dining table. There is also a large downstairs cloakroom with wash basin. Upstairs there are 3 large double bedrooms with lots of wardrobe space and a family bathroom with separate shower and two further basins. The shower is huge so no fear of catching elbows. The garden is a very good size and we partly chose this property as we took our labrador. You can sit on the patio and throw a ball a good distance to exercise your pet. There is also a garden table and parasol and stone built BBQ, burning charcol and wood which the host has pre cut and stored safely in the dry garage, this wood could also be used for heating on the large fire place in the lounge, which is modern and guarded. Its was early September so we did not need to light the fire, or make use of the modern heating system, which was a shame as it would no doubt have created a great cosy atmosphere. Situated 6km to Torigny sur Vire, minutes in the car, where a number of restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets can be found along with a weekly market, public gardens and a boating lake. We had two meals out and the food was excellent and around 12-13 Euro for lunch menu, 3 courses. With good roads going in every direction its a good place to base yourself if you want a central location. Finally the house and garden are spotless, appearing boxfresh with no evidence of previous occupancy. It has a deep clean after each occupant has left, which is chargeable, but guarantees you a pristine environment.

Absolutely Superb, better than it appears in photos.
Monsieur Corbrion was extremely helpful from first booking the property, very informative throughout. On arrival we were delighted with the gite, it is far better than the photos show. Very comfortable throughout, beautifully appointed and very well equipped. The living/dining room is very spacious, with a beautiful fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with every thing you could need, the bedrooms are spacious and the bathroom is excellent. The whole property is in immaculate condition with a lovely garden and ample parking for 2 or 3 cars. The property is very secluded at the end of a quiet lane, whilst still being in the village. The location is so quiet and peaceful, an ideal retreat at the end of a day exploring Normandy, This is really an exceptional property, if you are thinking of visiting Normandy, book this gite, I doubt that you will find anywhere better. Merci Msr Corbrion, and thank your wife also for the lovely Normandy pudding, we would love to visit here again. We really didn't want to leave!
