We selected the most expensive room in the hotel, which was a suite with a Sauna, Jacuzzi and view of the garden/pool (room 506). It was an unplanned trip and was to be a quick getaway for my husband and I while our kids piled into a relative's house with their cousins during the holidays. The suite was not ready upon arrival (5pm) and we were informed at check-in that the gym in the pics no longer existed. The suite was spacious but lacked basic things such as phone, wifi, outlets in proper locations (we had to plug in the coffee maker while putting it on the floor!) as well as a TV mounted in strange location that cause you to have to duck as you moved around the room. Bathroom had little privacy and no ventilation. We arranged for massages at the Spa for 7pm, tried to use the Jacuzzi at 6pm but it filled so slowly that it was not ready until 6:45! Pool was ice cold and dirty so that wasn't a option. Getting hot water was hit or miss. Massages were OK for the price however, they advertised services that we wanted but were not available. Sauna in the room was nice and since there was no room climate control, we used it to heat the room when the temperature dropped at night. Being close to the center of town/night life/lake access, secure parking, as well as the free breakfast are the only positive things that come to mind regarding our stay. For the price we paid, there are much better options in the area but unfortunately, due to the holidays, everything else was booked.
