Due to some construction occuring water was unavailable for a short period of our stay but we were amply informed to allow time to prepare. Staff were accommodating and very helpful towards us even if we misunderstood sometimes. Rooms are small as expected but allow for enough space to relax in after a big day out.
Low price, but bad value. For just few more dollars per night you can do much better.
Cons:
-Only one toilet (one male and one female) per floor shared with everyone.
-Only one shower per floor (one male/one female).
-Room service only once a week.
-Safety issue. My room had an unsecured electrical distribution panel for the whole floor in it. See picture
-Thin walls, even by Japanese standards.
-Laundry facility was 2 washing machines (one broken) and a dryer that has a 2hr30min cycle which vents directly into the lobby to make it hot/humid - and your clothes still end up wet. I used the coin laundry across the street instead.
-Front desk is part time.
Compare now to Toyoko Inn or similar: your own toilet, own shower, room with a desk and a TV, daily room service, free (good) breakfast and 24/7 front desk for a few bucks more per night.
Pros:
-Good area, asakusa/akihabara/skytree/ginza/tsukiji/tokyo tower are close.
-Easy to get to from the airport.
-Not too many tourists around, an easier place to navigate with wide sidewalks.
-The employees were nice

Easy check in, but I don’t like the front desk hours because they were only open during certain hours. The wifi didn’t always work for me, but I had a pocket wifi so not too bad. Everything else was fine. Room had a nice size bed and enough room to move around. The showers and toilets were shared by the floor and cleaned daily. There was a public space on the 2F so you could hang out while doing laundry or eat your takeout. Hotel located in a convenient area and close to a metro station. There was also a JR station about a 10-15 minute walk away.
- clean room, staff was helpful, amenities were pre good (no cutleries), pre-soundproof between the rooms (kinda noisy when someone’s in the halls tho)
Clean good sized room, nice amenities provided, friendly staff, air conditioner/heater inside room as well as a mini fridge. Convenient location for multiple subway lines. Overall a very nice stay.
Clean and nice smelling room and hotel, everytbing felt new. Down side to the shared washroom aspect with other hotel stayers is cleanliness. I unfortunately had neighbours that weren't so considerate with keeping the shared space clean. There were stool smears left behind in bidets, sink counter tops full of water, and the shared bathroom sink (small, meant for washing hands only) having water all over the floor because someone decided to do their morning routine there instead of the designated sinks. The staff cleans it every day but it would definitely help if guest could keep the place clean after use as well but thats out of the hotel's control.
I had problems with mainly the other guests not being considerate but other than that the property was kept in clean condition. There are designated trash with signage making it easier for us to decifer how to discard our trash.
Please note noise level is very bad. You can hear someone walking down the hallway, other neighbors using the shared sinks, and even when others are using their hair dryers in their rooms. If you're sensitive to sound, please keep this in mind. I'm typically a heavy sleeper but even I was woken up once early in the morning from another guest making noise in the hallway.
Bed is firm type of bed. For me it was extremely comfortable. Also as a solo travelor this bed was super spacious, about a double size bed.
The check-in and check-out process was easy and seamless.

1 minute away from train station. Surrounded by resturants, 7/11, convenient spots. 20 minute walk to Asukura, and Tokyo History museum. Many temples around.
.
The hotel is located at strategic point in the Hibiya Line which connects to Ueno. Very easy to get from the airport. The price was outstanding, rooms were perfect. I recommend and definitely will be my hotel of choice every time I go to Tokyo.
Shared spaces such as the 2F lounge, bathrooms, and shower room were very clean and convenient.
Beds were super comfy, and the room we booked was exactly what we needed - a comfortable and quiet space to go back to every night after our busy days out.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, thank you! Would recommend a stay here.
Property was clean, shared bathrooms were always well stocked. I do wish the rooms were a bit bigger to accommodate large luggage, but it was a great place for the price and somewhere to settle down at night. Loved that it was so close to Iriya Station as it made travel very convenient.
