Let me start off by saying that yes, the rooms are very small; now with that being said, the hotel was very clean and so was my room. The bed was comfortable and the shower and bathroom facilities worked well. There were plenty of toiletries available in the room such as toothbrush/toothpaste, shower cap, comb/brush combo, etc The television worked well and gave a lot of information about the hotel and the facilities as well as having a VOD channel that will allow you to play some American movies in English. The hotel is within minutes walking distance to the Shinjuku station and its mall with great stores and restaurants. The area can be very loud at night and busy but I always felt safe personally and I thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant, The Lotus Lounge (I believe) that is connected to the hotel. Their food was delicious and the server was very friendly. I will stay at another APA property as they are very convenient and did well for me as a solo traveler and the rate was very good too but I’ll probably stay in another city in Tokyo as the area can be so loud and busy but I enjoyed my stay overall and would recommend this brand as a lot of the more popular branded hotels can be very pricey in Japan
The staff were very professional and polite. They also explained everything you needed to know about the services provided at the hotel. Great service!
Very clean and comfortable. Close to everything. Staffs are friendly. The surrounding might get a little sketchy at night. If you are female and travel alone. Don’t get back to hotel tooooo late.
convenient location, close to dining options and shopping, a little bit of walking towards public transportation, the room is a little tight but enough if you don’t have lots of luggage and/or purchases
The view from our room on the 15th floor was amazing. The naighbouthood is very lively and full of western style bars, it gets a bit quieter about 200 meters from the hotel. I had the feeling the hotel is in the exact center of the busy/clubbing/drinking/most touristy area. The room we booked was very small (one double bed) and the decor was a bit dated.
I’m trying to understand why the hall way is hot but other floors are fully AC. Are there specified floors for ppl of color? It’s really difficult not to automatically think that way. It’s a bit sad though. On the flip side, food is edible and fulling, room was clean and comfy. We visited in September and it was extremely sweltering hot. And that 3rd floor hall way opened to the outside elements. I hated that.
It's a nice location with everything that you need. It's quiet at night and super safe. We would wake up at 3am due to jet lag and still could find food that is open 24 hours. Really nice staff too. Be patient as some of them are learning English!
