After staying in a suite last time, i thought the deluxe would be a good and cheaper option. The difference between the two is immense. The deluxe room is hardly deluxe, with NO TV or Tea/Coffee making facilities as described upon their website & Expedia. The private bathroom is hardly that...a shower cubicle (my rain shower squirted water all over the floor causing a huge mess), and a separate cubicle for the toilet. The vanity sink etc is actually in the room....so NO private bathroom. The front door (and balcony doors) are very difficult to shut...leading to security issues.
Confronted staff about the deception who couldn't help as their "manager" was away. Promises that he would contact me did not prevail.
Such a shame and a huge disappointment. The only 1 positive thing is that balcony was good.
The place is ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!
Charming colonial building on the central square. Nice cafe downstairs. Good coffee. Balcony is a plus. A quirky touch was that ask customers to remove shoes and leave them in the lobby. Wish i could have had a water boiler in the room. Authentic old building with squeaky floor
I had been recommended this hotel/guesthouse as a good stopping point on my way to Champasak. This was good as the bus journey was an experience!
I enjoyed my time at this hotel, and I had a room with a balcony. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed the food that I had over the time I was there.
just how I remember hotels of that rate.
Perfect for the cost but food a little pricy, compared to other restaurants, but very good.
Service is excellent.
We had a quick overnight stop at Thakhek and chose this hotel as it got good reviews on TA and was really keenly priced - we are really pleased we stayed - had a nice room - quite small but funky styling. Comfortable beds and was a great shower too.
Staff were helpful and we booked a bus trip from the travel desk in the hotel itself.
We arrived late and the bar and restaurant had closed but they staff recommended a bar and restaurant a few doors away which was really good food and some of the staff ate there themselves after their shift.
Overall a really good stay and great value
Lovely room, central location if you want to visit the loca caves. Check in was no issue and we were very pleased with our room. Breakfast was lovely too. Hotel is central but if you have a room to the front of the Main Street it can be a little noisy at night. It didn’t keep us awake though.
Service at the hotel was good and staff friendly and helpful. However we booked with the hotels tour guide to get the bus from Thakhek to Vientiane, we were advised the journey was a little over 5 hours, it turned out to be almost 9 hours. To say we were a bit miffed is an understatement.
The hotel itself is nice and the food is nice, although a bit more price.
But the service there is not the best and some of the employes don't really speak English.
The hotel is not so big but very convenient and comfortable. It's in the center of the town and you can walk anywhere around there, especially along Mekong river. Just only one.thing I would like the hotel to improve is Breakfast. The choice is too narrow and the quality is not very satisfactory. Overall, the hotel is very ok for me. If I have a chance to go there again, I'll stay here for sure.
Hotel staff very good. The most expensive room had no wardrobe or place to hang/put your clothes. Room very small with no screens on the windows to keep flying insects out (of course there was air conditioning). I like to listen to the rain. Strange setup for bathroom with 2 seperate cubicles (2.5sq m space in each). Broken bath fixtures and NO HOT WATER. Nice hardwood floors, comfortable bed. All of this for 35 US per nite...Value for dollar; what a rip-off!
The lovely has a lovely layout and pretty decor in the downstairs restaurant. We arrived very late and checked out very early but would have loved to stay longer.
The rooms are quite small but very cute and cosy with an interesting personal touch.
The restaurant is nothing special, but you can sit outside and observe the street life.
Very friendly staff and great rooms for money paid. Easy to book tours through Green Discovery. Longmont Cave is a must do for everyone. Long day but we'll worth it. Restaurant good, rooms clean with comfy beds.Would return again without hesitation.
We stayed here for two nights. The room was clean, the breakfast was great and the staff was very helpful. Location was also great. Overall a very nice stay
