Great location
Had a great stay at lochside lodge. Fantastic views .Would bring all your needs as long single track road in and no welcome pack. Purely because of location it would have been a nice touch to have a welcome pack. Overall a good weekend.

Absolutely Beautiful! 5⭐️‘S
What an absolutely stunning location! The view from the cabin is just beautiful. We cannot wait to book to come back again. The cabin itself was just delightful and the mezzanine bedroom amazing. Super clean, super secluded and just lovely. Having the log fire on in the winter meant the cabin was very toasty. Will defo be back!

Mountain bike weekend
The cabin is the loveliest I've stayed in and had everything as promised on the website. Views and Lochside position and the weather gave us the opportunity to bbq on the waters edge and enjoy the evening sun. Had a bit of fun with the canoe and enjoyed the trails on the bikes. The trail up to waterfall was amazing ! Deffinatly come back to this 🥰 Many thanks

Tranquil a perfect getaway from world
Loved our trip really enjoyed the hot tub on the decking. We have 2 dogs and it was perfect for them, we had our own fenced off outdoor space leading directly into the loch. Would recommend if you want to escape from the world x

Stunning Lodge in a perfect location
Really enjoyed our stay at Lochside Lodge... Property is very well equipped to a modern standard.. Location is absolutely perfect, just a stone throw away from the Loch.... We were lucky to have the sunny weather but even without good weather this little gem would be the ideal place to chill out... Really can't fault the property or the owners, they were fantastic and made sure we were satisfied.... Easy to contact and very helpful.... Midges were a right bother but being Scottish I'm kinda used to that.... All in all a beautiful cabin, beautiful scenery, lovely local people in dalavich and a perfect all-rounder from me!!!! Will DEFINITELY be back 😎😍😍

Beautiful Lochside Lodge
Firstly, the location of the village of Dalavich is truly remote and unspoilt. It is 35 minutes off the nearest main road- down twisty, single track lanes. At the end of your drive, you turn off into the wooded area in which the cabins are situated. As you wind your way through the woods and other cabins, Lochside Lodge eventually comes into view and you are greeted with the spectacular image from the website. The Lodge is perched on the shore of Loch Awe, with the water's edge only 20m away. The cabin is one of several that all have direct, private access to the water. Each property is clearly demarcated from the next, and they are about 50m apart. As such, the rear decking area (and, therefore, hot tub) is slightly overlooked from both sides. Additionally, there is a communal boat launch area to the left hand side of the property that is accessed via a gravel track alongside the cabin. With this said, during the seven days we stayed here, we only saw a handful of fishermen launch their boats and few people throwing sticks into the water for their dogs. The view from the elevated rear deck is wonderful. We witnessed some of the most spectacular sunrises over the calmest of waters. And, of course, the same views can be taken in from the hot tub. The wood-fired hot tub was a revelation; so much so that we ordered one for our home whilst there! Easy to light, get up to temperature and maintain (you need to keep an eye on it though), it seemed so much more appropriate in this rural location than a jetted modern tub. There was just my wife and I travelling this time, so we had plenty of space inside the Lodge. There are two good sized double rooms (one on the mezzanine level) and a bunk bed room. There are two shower rooms (one en-suite, on the mezzanine level). The kitchen is functional and equipped to good standard to cook most meals. The open plan dining/sitting area is a good size and has air conditioning for the warmer weather or a log fire for the colder months. There are basic provisions available from the village shop, firewood from the lovely Irene (also in the village) and the main shopping town of Oban an hour away. We didn't get to try the on-site community bar/restaurant but did eat at the Kilchrenan Inn about 25 minutes back towards the main road. Very good gastropub with good ales and wines. We will definitely look to return in the future and would recommend to anyone looking for a base in this beautiful area.

Beautiful loch side lodge, perfect setting and welcoming local village
We wouldn't change a single thing about our holiday, the lodge was perfect for us (2 adults, 4 children & 1 dog), everything we needed and the bonus of being beside the loch with a beautiful view. Having the hot tub and camp fire area were also such a bonus. The local people in the shop/cafe and community centre were very friendly. We had an amazing time exploring the loch and islands close by with our 4 children who also loved everything out our stay. We definitely plan to visit again.

Lovely cabin on the loch
Beautiful log cabin, views were amazing. Had some lovely strolls through the woods and in the hills. Thought we might be able to walk around the loch but a lot of the shore cabins have privatised the loch shore. Hotub a bit of a challenge with temperature control. Overall we had a fantastic week, as did our dogs. Very peaceful, beautiful place. Friendly people.

Stunning location!
Perfect relaxing getaway with friends, had an amazing time chilling, walking! Beautiful Scenery, all on your doorstep, although we arrived late evening so didn't see much at first but..Wow, woke up to the most beautiful view across the Loch from our bedroom, (we got the mezzanine one as we are kidless ;-)) 4 Adults 2 kids 2 dogs, lots of room/facilities! Lots of nice walks along the Loch, and in around the Forest...I love photography and was snapping none stop! Avoch Falls (5 min drive in car heading out of village)are a must..stunning! Loved the Hot tub,be patient as takes time to heat 4/5 hrs as wood burning but keeps warm once done(we are purchasing one for our garden as we thought it great) Will definately be back..Next time we will bring our Kayaks and stay longer! The drive to Oban on our leaving day was beautiful,so lucky to live in a beautiful scenic country!

Exactly as advertised Idyllic setting away from everywhere.
Fantastic place to spend New Year. Handy little shop and cafe just yards along the road in the village of Dalavich. No one bothered us the whole time we were there and Locals made us feel very welcome at the new years party at the bar/ meeting hall place on the end of the cabin site/ start of village. Really friendly people and a well run efficient and helpful cabin site. Will visit again!
